I just want to say that I am not Preggers yet but I am wondering how most ladies on the bee told him they are expecting. I have heard some really cute ideas about how they have suprised him. I would love to do something cute when the day comes. However, I am not sure I could handle keeping that to myself and figuring out how to suprise him. Last time we thought I might be preg we took the test together.
How about you bees?

I’d take him to get the test with me. I wouldn’t let him watch me pee, but I know he’d be waiting outside the door. Neither of us would appreciate any cutesy announcements, and I can’t imagine keeping it from him long enough to plan one anyway. I guess we’re not “typically” romantic, but I still like our way better. 🙂

I’m sure I’d just rush into the bedroom and wake him up if I got a positive pregnancy test.

I am pretty sure that I would be in the same boat as you guys. I don’t think I could do it alone or not tell him the minute that I found out. I do think it is very cute though when other people do the cute ways of telling him.

I actually surprised myself and was able to wait – but not too long! We both suspected I was pregnant so he knew I was going to test that morning. I woke up early, tested and got the good news – and then took a walk to get coffee (decaf) so my husband could sleep longer. As soon as I got back home he woke up and first words out of his mouth were “Are you pregnant, baby?” I was so happy to be able to say yes. So all of the cuteness was his, not mine 🙂
No matter how you tell him, the reaction and pure joy is always priceless!

@ladyox: Sometimes I wonder how weird our house will be when we have a baby and everyone is calling everyone baby 🙂 Super cute
We’re not trying yet, but the first thing that popped into my head was that I would get these shirts made that we saw on thinkgeek a while ago, they say V1.0 for dad and V2.0 for baby. I always thought it was adorable and I think it would be cute to let him know with some baby clothes

I do believe I called him when I knew he was leaving a clients office and screamed into the phone. He came home after that to watch me pee on another stick since he didn’t quite believe me the first time. It’s shock I tell you.

@ladyox: That is too cute.
@Miss Sapphire: I am pretty sure my guy would make me do the samething too.

I want to give him lilttle clues until he figures it out.

I feel the exact same way. And I Know my husband would want to be there (outside the door!) when I take the test.
I guess I’ve always been a little confused how girls surprise their husband with this? I guess I could understand if he worked away all the time or if you were LDR. But for most of us wouldn’t you just wait till your husband was home to take the HPT?

We’re not bashful…he’ll probably be in the bathroom while I take the test.

When I opened this thread all I could think about was that episode of Full House when Becky was trying to tell Jesse she was pregnant and had the whole meal with baby foods (not baby food, but food with baby in the name) and then had this whole big thing with the whole family playing charades.
I’m not quite halfway through the TWW. Last month, I had a plan that if I was, I would take a picture of the test, and put it in his Valentine’s Day card (since based on past cycles I should have been able to test right before)…but this month, instead of ovulating on the 13th or 14th day like I usually do, I didn’t until the 19th, so that plan went out the window.
This TWW is making him just about as crazy as it is me (2 days after my temp spiked he asked if I could take a test yet) and is counting down the days until I can take a test, so I don’t think I’d be able to keep it from him. Likely I’d get up before him, take the test, and if it’s positive bring it back to bed with me to wake him up and show him.

@Mrs Sarah McK: My sister did that! I didn’t know it was on Full House! She made baby back ribs, baby carrots, baby potatoes, etc — Her husband caught on pretty fast!

@Mrs Sarah McK: I totally remember that episode! Full House was awesome.
I suspected I might be, but didn’t say much to DH other than I was going to take a test. We were at the inlaws, since he was working there and I was on my way to work and then my parents for the weekend. (It was a Fri). I tested as he was getting ready, and it was an immediate +. I ran downstairs and made him come back to the bedroom with me to show him the test. It was awesome. We had 10 minutes together then were apart until Sun! Could have planned that better I guess…
