I personally don’t like it when the flower girl looks like a little bride. It’s creepy. Just my opinion.

My flower girls are wearing a ballet pink sleeveless dress with a tule skirt. Very cute and femine yet they still look like the little girls they are.

I would find a cute dress in your colors that you like. Check out some of the bee posts. I think Miss Mascara had a post with a bunch of cute flower girl dresses.

my flower girls wore white.  i don’t love colored dresses on flower girls, i think it looks bad.  they were just white easter dresses with a ribbon around the waist in one of my wedding colors.  They weren’t mini brides, but they looked adorable.

Personally, I don’t like flower girls in mini-bridal gowns… most bridal gowns are too grown-up for little girls. Your two basic choices are to go with something white, or something in your wedding colors. I’m sort of in the middle: pink is one of my wedding colors, and the flower girl dress is ivory with a blush bodice and blush trim on the skirt. I think that the layered skirt of the flower girl dress subtly echoes my box pleats. I attached photos of my dress and hers… hope this helps. [attachment=230749,24224] [attachment=230749,24225]

No no a thousand times no to having her flower girl match you! Have her look like what she is… A GIRL! I like the dress worcester bride picked out for her FG, I know they also have that syle to just below the knee which is really cute. Also, the dress doesn’t need to be white, you could find a pretty ‘more formal’ dress that complements the rest of your palette. I’ve actually thought about having cornflower blue for my flower girl!

i like it when the flower girl matches the maids more personally- maybe a colored skirt with a white top? attached as a dress but 2 tone?

I agree, the flower girl dress can be whatever you want.  It can be the same color as your dress, only more of a little girl style.  That might give you or your FSIL the feel of a mini you, without making her look Jonbenet Ramsay.

You could also have her in the Bm colors or a combo of yor color and the Bm colors. (Like the white dress with a colored sash, a pp mentioned.)
