How do I distance myself from this coworker?

Hhmm, I don’t know, seems pretty unlikely it was him but you never know. Be careful from now on when you leave, maybe take another way home or if he asks say you have to see a friend/boyf after work and can’t take him. Personally I wouldn’t give a lift/be in a car with a man I don’t know well. That’s a vulnerable situation to be in.

I agree about switching up your routine.  That is one of the things they say that women need to be wary about because it shows people that you have patterns like always driving the same way home.

Is there anywhere else you can eat lunch so you can start stepping back from this situation?

So a truck that didn’t get off on this guy’s normal turn-off tailgated you, and you think it’s this guy? I’m a bit confused. What about his behavior makes you think he’s got a crush on you and would stalk you on your way home like that? I agree with PPs, it’s probably not a good idea that you give him a ride home anymore, but I think you’re being a bit paranoid.

You only thought of him because you were already freaked he had a crush on you. Stop offering rides, switch up your routine, and keep an eye out for the black truck. It probably wasn’t him driving it though, otherwise I doubt he’d wait an hr after work every day
