Ok ladies, I found this lighted backdrop. And I love it. I’d love to be able to do this myself, inexpensivley of course! Is it doable? Any ideas? My idea is to bring the outdoors in and kind of give the room a sparkly night feel. Turn the lights down in the hall after dinner and have lighted backrop around the room. What if I used a sheer navy fabric instead of ivory?

I can’t see the picture. Can you try uploading it again?

Grrr….getting frustrated. So that’s the pic even though it’s there twice and is kinda small. And has the code. BTW, if anyone can give me some pointers on posting pics, I’d be super duper happy!

You could use a technique called uplighting. Where you put a light on the floor, and it shines straight up giving the effect of light coming in. You would need to get floor lights though, if your doing a dj they may have some, or even your venue. You could probably even rent them from an event rental place for pretty cheap. Hope this helps!

I am doing something similar to our head table. You could also string very small xmas lights behind the last layer of the curtain but being very strategic in how you put them up or using twinkle lights for the same effect. You can also maybe use Tulle mixed with the fabric for the same effect.
Hope that helps

The picture is from the rental place. And it’s very pricey. And I want to do it at least around two sides of the room. So renting really isn’t an option. I think what I’m looking for is technical ideas how to do it. Ideas on framing, like I was thinking of maybe making/buying some sort of screen and draping it with fabric and lights. Has anybody done this before? Any tutorials?
