What kind of ceremony are you having? Is it religious? Will it be outside or in a church?

Our piper suggested playing it as we leave the church. However, I think it’s a bit too sad for that. Hopefully you’ll get some good suggestions that I can steal!

I went to a wedding a few years back in a church.  They played a song during the ceremony.  I wonder if you can do it as part of the ceremony.

We’re having a song for those who have passed away as a prelude and making note of it in the program.

PS – I sang a wedding that had bagpipes once… HANDS DOWN most awesome wedding I’ve ever sang and I’ve been doing this for about 20 years.

I attended a wedding years ago that had a piper standing far off playing Amazing Grace as the guests arrived (a tribute to the bride’s deceased parents).  The symbology of the distance, but still present, rang true.  It was very touching.
