(Closed) How do I list a flowergirl who won’t actually be there? (lives in another state)

Sorry she can’t be there. I think your phrasing works, but I’m ‘cutesy’ so I’d maybe say something like Flowergirl – Daughter’s name (throwing petals and celebrating from afar). Maybe you could even put something cute on the cake or gift table, like an electric photo frame that has photos of her throwing petals and blowing bubbles, etc.

@souliganprincess: I think it would realy depend on how formal you want your programs.  “In absentia” seems too academic to me, and not as personal. 

How about:

Flower Girl in Spirit / Name (State)

Flower Girl in Heart / Name (State)

i would put: flower girl: daughter’s name (celebrating from afar)

I  would be carefull whichever way you word it. “In Spririt” kinda sounds like she has passed away. It could be me just overthininking it, but if I saw it in the program, I would think so.
