its so freakin' time consuming!   I consider myself savy enough with the computer but the knot is so unuser friendly as a whole.  A

But I do know there are a couple of programs out there to help you

    like:

    http://thebiobuilder.com/BioBuilder/BBFree.html

    and

    http://www.stlwed.com/help/bio/

I've dabbled with the stlwed, it took some figuring out- I still can't figure out how to get 2 pictures next to each other though......I WANT to finish my bio but doubt I have the stamina for the knot nonsense.

i would stay away from the knot bios--they are way too hard and crash frequently (even stlbuilder). i use googlepages for my bio. it so easy and free!

to use it, start a gmail account and then go to http://pages.google.com. you can upload photos there too.

i can tell you how to link to googlepages from your knot bio if you decide to do this

I second google pages. It was so easy. For more advanced, you can open up a wordpress account, but yeah, I'm struggling with the Knot bio. What I've seen most people just link to to their web page in the bio space the knot gives.

I was kind of wondering this too, so thank you for asking the hive! Also, I don't particularly want to set up a gmail account because I already have a BUNCH of accounts going crazy.  Is there something similar affiliated with Yahoo?

Katie, if you set up a gmail account, you can add all your other accounts to it under settings. I've done this with my blog contact info and my personal email and it works great.

There's another bio builder program alot of the girls on The Knot use called NVU, I have found this to be the easiest and you can customize alot more.  Take a look at my bio if you'd like:

Another knottie has great instructions on how to make one as well, let me know if you need help!

I just started a blog on blog spot. Really the bio thing was so not user friendly and I work with computers for a living....how lame am I?

I have found that more of my girls read my blog, then they read my actual wedding web site.....lol. O-well they get the idea and info eventually!

Good luck with whatever you end up doing!!!!
