Instead of making a page, make an event.  Then make the event open only to those who are invited.

@Earlybride:  I’d make a group page and make the group invite only.

I made a group page for my BFF’s bridesmaids. Only we could see what was posted. What makes the group better than the event, is that you can share and edit documents as well as “sticky” posts so they stay at the top. You’re also able to see how many people have viewed your post, so you know if you need to call more attention to it. So for the bridesmaids, we had a shared doc for our shower responsibilities. We could also share pictures and stuff there.

I have another one for my old mission team. We have a doc with everyone’s addresses, which is way easier to update than having to send out an email to each person every time we move. We also have one with birthdays and anniversaries of us, our spouses and our children. The group page was extremely helpful when planning our reunion, which is probably a similar use to what you’re doing.

@Earlybride:  Yup, you can do photos and updates and all that good stuff, plus it gives you an easy way to get RSVPs, communicate reminders, and input the time and location.  I think it’s the best option for you.

Group is the way to go. A group of ladies from the Bee who all had babies around the same time started a private FB group, and it’s served us well in sharing how the babies (now toddlers!) are doing (I’m sure others have done similarly). Photos, videos, chatting, etc. Just make the group, invite people, and make it secret (so people’s friends can’t view it).
