@Futurecoacheswife:  Oh man, its so soon!  Before Christmas are you kidding me? Thats in like 6 weeks! Get some sort of pet project competely NOT wedding or ring related. Like Christmas cards or decorating or DIY presents! Prep for a super special holiday season and focus on gratitude that its happened so soon and stop with yr ring grabby grabby !!!! You can do it 🙂

Haha, I feel your pain. The ‘surprise’ was spoilt when a lady at the jewelry store spilled the beans that he’d bought a ring, and I know it takes 12-13 weeks, and it was purchased sept 11… so it should come early-mid december.. I won’t know when, and I don’t know how he is going to officially propose (we already picked a date and have been wedding planning though, haha).

@Futurecoacheswife: I know how you feel, that was me a year ago.  Do your best not to think about it, I used to give myself pep talks in the mirror – ‘he is not proposing today/tomorrow, it will be soon, stay cool, don’t ruin this otherwise great day’.  Helped me not ruin Christmas last year when I realized that it wasn’t going to be a Christmas morning proposal.

Try your best not to see signs in EVERYTHING that he does.

@Futurecoacheswife:  Haha my boyfriend is a big burly heavily tattooed dude, so I’m excited to see how he proposes… as long as one of us aren’t on the toilet, I’ll be pretty happy.

Do you have any idea what the ring looks like?

I have no advice because I’d be the exact same! I don’t know what is worse the unknown or a definite time frame!!

Yep you just described me except I haven’t been waiting that long. :/ But with all the craziness going on in my life due to my pending job Loss and grandpas health, having a proposal to look forward to is what I need right now.

@Futurecoacheswife:  if it makes you feel better, this time last year we’d been together 8 years – I’d been waiting for 6.

It’s hard not to think it’s coming all the time.  The number of times i ruined events for myself because i couldn’t enjoy the moment because I was so convinced the ring was coming (or was so disappointed the ring didn’t come) is actually upsetting.  You know it’s coming, that’s what matters.  I won’t lie, having the sparkly on your hand is super exciting, but really, you know he’s in it for the long haul, try and enjoy the next few weeks before life becomes a whole new ball of stress (yay wedding planning…)

@Futurecoacheswife:  I’d be dead! I’d literally obsess for the next six weeks ha ha! Maybe just go with it and enjoy all the build up!! Or start planning an engagement party, see I’m of absolutely no use!!

@Futurecoacheswife:  HAHA, set your expectations low and then we’ll both be estatic with however they propose. Your ring sounds lovely!! Was it reasonably priced? I’m not too familiar with clusters. I tried the one he picked after I found out he bought it, but I have size 3.25 finger so I had to use my imagination what it will actually look on my finger once it’s made haha.
