Do you have an inspiration picture? That would help tell us what style you are looking for.

I've see the handles that you can buy where you can make your own but I just have no idea how to do so.
In the DIY section with reception and ceremony decor, there are some awesome, step byy step pics of how other bees have worked with silk and natural flowers. Check them out....as tksjewelry said, pics of what you have in mind will help. save-on-crafts.com also has how to posts within the flower selectons to help you make all sorts of florals
You might want to check out the library, bookstores, Michaels, and/or Joanns for some how to books. Also, try doing a search on utube for wedding bouquet tutorials.
I made my boutonnieres out of silk flowers. It's basically just a single flower or a small bunch of small flowers, plus maybe a leaf or I used some crystal garland cut up into small pieces. And then you just hot glue ribbon around the stems. The second picture is the groom's one, I added a seahorse charm to make it different. (And I also had a big seahorse charm on my bouquet stem to match.) It's really easy and with the fake flowers you can do it way ahead of time. I also got some crystal-headed pins to attach them to the shirts.
Below is a collection of boutonnieres for the groomsmen, the fathers, the best man, groom, and corsages for the mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmother.

@xshellx2003: I did the bouquets and bouts for my sister's wedding. We used real flowers. I will say this...floral tape and floral wire are awesome.
Since the flowers we used (spider mums) have big heads...

How much time did it take you to do the flowers for your sisters wedding? I am thinking about the DIY approch - b/c they are just so freaking expensive!
@JamaicaBride How many flowers did you put in the bouquets?
@YellowBee3: It took abt 2 hours to do:
I had my "helpers" strip the flowers of the leaves prior to starting the process and I think it took 3 of them an hour to do them all. We ordered 130 spider mums. Honestly, if you have a plan of attack...the actual "creation" process goes pretty smoothly. Once I got the first bouquet figured out, the rest were pretty easy.
@Nola: The bridal bouquet ended up having about 24 spider mums, 3 hydrangea, and 7 aspidistra leaves... and was HUGE...but my sister wanted huge =). The BM bouquets had about 15 spider mums. The ones for the moms had 1 aspidistra leaf and 4 spider mums.
A pic of my mom and her bouquet....

@JamaicaBride Thank you so much! I am trying to figure out how many flowers I need to order.
@Nola: 130 was more than enough for everything we did. I had enough left to make the two floral arrangements for the columns. We ordered extra b/c I ended up snapping some stems during the process so it was nice to have extra.
youtube it! you'd be surprise with what you can find there..tutorial videos are available. =)
