I’m headed to IKEA for the first time ever this weekend to buy some frames.. I would like to do something a little crafty and sweet.. does anyone know how do make these hearts?? The frame I am buying looks just like this white one and I fell in love with how simple yet gorgeous it is with the heart in it but I’ve got no clue how to make a heart like this!

Aaw! First time IKEA visitor, makes me all teary eyed. 🙂
For the heart, I would just use a heart shaped cookie cuter to draw the outlines for the hearts – then cutting them out. I would then fold them slightly on the middle and secure them to each other and the frame using… um not sure what they’re called, but it’s double sided tape in a dispenser that looks like this.

I would just fold the hearts in half and score with a dull edge, then use a thin line of glue to secure them along the fold.

@Brickette: you could also sew a line down the half mark to help the heart stay. I would worry glue might not hold unless you used super glue or a glue gun
such a cute idea!

May I also suggest cutting out the hearts, stack them, fold in the center with a sharp crease. Set one heart aside and staple the remaining hearts in the center (a few staples down the middle). Then use double sided tape, or a small drop of glue to secure the one heart cut out your set aside to the top of the stack to hide the staples. Glue or use dbl sided tape to secure to the backing of the frame.
