That sounds like a good idea and definitely not too much! I love kinder surprise eggs, is that what you mean? Chocolate eggs with something small inside? Chocolate (without the toy) is great too, because the toys are usually not used for long.

Just make sure people know they’re supposed to keep the wine glass too. If the date is really subtle people may not realise at first 🙂

CuppaSarah:  well they will definitely all get eaten, and any children in attendance will probably grab any toys that other guests don’t want, to complete their ‘collection’.

Looks I might be the odd one out, but I don’t do glasses or plates that aren’t in a matching set, so I’d leave my glass behind at the wedding. I wouldn’t think or say anything bad about the favor, I just don’t keep random glasses (even if the date is very subtle).

I am sorry, but anything that hs a wedding date on it wll be something I leave behind. I have no inclination to have 1 or 2 wine glasses mixed in with my actual matching set.

It’s also what I got at my highschool prom. Which I also threw out after like 2nd year university.

The chocolate is ok. though you will end up with all the toys left behind as well.

I probably would leave the glasses. I don’t want anything “branded” with anyone else’s wedding info; it just has no place in my home.  Heck, I hardly have anything branded with my own wedding info in my home!

I’m one of those people, though, that says don’t bother giving me a favor if I can’t eat it or use it up before I get your thank-you card.  So I could be the weirdo here. The picture is really pretty.
