Im on the fence. I sort of like it and sort of don’t. It *kinda* looks like they tried to slip a necklace over their heads and it was too small so it got stuck on their forehead. I do like the actual jewlery tho, very pretty.

I voted “only some” — I’ve seen some Indian brides with amazing hair pieces that look AMAZING! But it has to match the dress and coordinating accessories.

Before I opened the thread, I was going to say that forehead jewelry strikes me as very South Asian. I love it, but I’d feel a little odd wearing a maang tika myself, like I was coopting a tradition I had no relation to.

That said, you’ve posted headwear here that puts me in mind of garlands, which are a tradition in many parts of Western Europe, where my family is from (English brides, for instance, often wore garlands of orange blossoms on their wedding day). So to answer your question, I think those are gorgeous if you’re having an outdoor wedding!

So stunning! Too fashion forward for me personally, but I love seeing them on others

I’d wear the first one pictured. it’s stunning. I am feeling lots of MEH towards the rest of them.

I have seen some indian brides rock those sorts of pieces in bright, bold colors and they look amazing.

@princessggg:  I thinkt it’s gorgeous and exotic, but if it becomes too trendy, I won’t like it any more. Remember ten years ago when everyone had a tiara?

In my culture, it’s usually the norm:

I think it looks cool provided it isn’t too distracting. I won’t be doing it for mine, however, because I have two other cultures to incorporate into my wedding from FI’s side, lol.

I’ve loved that look since I was little and watched  the never ending  story becasue the child like empress wore one.

Honestly, it might happen just for that reason.

I would never wear it. However, there was a bee on here that is wearing one and I remember she was sooo gorgeous! Let me see if I can find her/the thread.

I love flower crowns as I’m kind of a flower child, lol… and I love Indian crowns and jewelery. Soo pretty… I like the crown in the first picture you posted, but I’m not a huge fan of the other three.

Love Kim K’s. I like a headpiece if it is dainty/feminine, not chunky or heavy-looking

I think it looks good in a traditional indan wedding but not with a Western modern wedding dress.
