By sleeping together I mean sleep at night position wise not sexually. I don't like being held and touched at night while I'm sleeping. I like my own space you have your side and I have mine. Although lately SO has been all on my side of the bed which has made it uncomfortable to sleep. Our bed I think it's a full it way too small unfortunately we won't be moving for another two years so no bed upgrade. Anyway how do you sleep at night? How does your SO sleep? If have any problems sleeping together how do you fix it?
Ugh. This is SUCH a huge issue for us. I am a super light sleeper and every little thing wakes me up. We do not cuddle and I usually end up shoving FH to the other side of the bed. We actually sleep in seperate rooms sometimes too just so I can get some sleep! I don't really have any advice b/c I have the same issues...
We have a queen size bed and when we go to bed we like to snuggle. As we fall asleep we move away from each other but we are always touching, either hands or feet or bums LOL!
If he is encroaching and I need more space I just ask for it "Babe can you move over please?" and he does the same! It works for us!
We often sleep in separate rooms. Yeah, I said it. I'm a really, really light sleeper, and any little thing will wake me up. My husband is loud and shakes a LOT in his sleep, and wakes me up a lot, which, in turn, wakes him up, and it's just a mess some of the time.
Luckily, we have a very comfy guest bed that he'll sleep in if we're having a rough night, which is a few times a week. It's weird because we're married and we don't have any problems. We just really need our sleep!
We also have a full-sized bed, and it's just way too small. Whenever we stay at hotels with King-sized beds, we sleep together like babies. We can't wait to buy a king-sized bed when we move in a couple of years.
My husband is a huge cuddler. Lucky for me (ha!) he's also a heater. So he makes me really hot when he's cuddling. Eventually, he'll roll over, and I'll finally get some room to breathe! I love it though...there's nothing better than falling asleep in his arms. He just needs to roll over as soon as I fall asleep haha...
We have been sleeping on a single together for over 2 years. I know that is crazy but we are used to it now. Needless to say, we sleep very close together. We go through a lot of positions- I spoon him, he spoons me, I put my head on his chest and he wraps his arm around me. Sometimes we are both lying on our backs and he is squished up against the wall, poor thing.
I love to cuddle, but not when I'm trying to sleep! We have a queen and we pretty much stay to our own sides.
We start the night by cuddling by the end of the night we are not so much on eachother but something is always touching, feet, arms, holding hands, etc..
He is ALWAYS hot to I love to cuddle up with him and keep toasty. :)
We'll usually spoon as we're falling asleep, but then part ways. I tend to sleep in all sorts of ways - on my back, side, stomach. My fiance prefers to sleep on his back, which causes him to snore and me to (initially gently but growing stronger with each one, as I become more exhausted) kick him until he rolls onto his side. He'll stay there for a while, roll onto his back, and we'll repeat the process. If it gets really bad, I'll just spoon him to keep him on his side. Or one of us will admit defeat and go sleep in the guest room or on the couch.
We are so not cuddlers. We'll snuggle for a few minutes but when we're ready to sleep, we are on opposite sides of the bed.
And usually the dog is between us.
We have a king sized bed, so I NEVER feel him to come bed (he always goes to bed way after I do except when we are out late on weekends). I can't imagine sleeping in a smaller bed, let alone a twin! Props to you xoxo!!!
I'm the same way, I need my own space. So we sleep very much apart. I never got how people could get comfy with someones arms all over them! We cuddle, then go to sleep in our corners lol.
We're not cuddlers either. Usually when we first go to bed we'll cuddle a little and talk about our days, the next day, whatever, then we kiss goodnight and scoot to our respective sides of the bed. Then we always stick one leg over so our ankles cross haha. Its the only part of us that can be touching though or neither of us can sleep.
We always go to bed at the same time and are serious snugglers. My husband claims he can't fall asleep without snuggling. I don't know how much of an exaggeration that is, but I do know that we do cuddle as we fall asleep and when we wake up we are still always touching in some way. We try to keep the room really cold so that we don't get too hot.
We have a full-sized bed and have thought about getting a larger one, but decided against it beause we pretty much sleep on top of each other as it is. I doubt we'd use the extra room Even when we've been in a hotel room with a king bed, we both sleep together on one side or in the middle.
I like to be left alone, on my own side of the bed, so I can sleep on my stomach. The ONLY time we fall asleep cuddling is if i am dog dead tired and it's on accident. I think I'm JUST NOW getting used to having a constant bed buddy =]
We have a queen. But usually FH reads or plays games on my phone whilst I fall asleep until he gets sleepy. He works late so it's hard for him to just shut off. If he's really tired we'll spoon for a little while (usually until I fall asleep) and then he'll turn over onto his back and let me sleep on his arm. Over the course of the night we'll both move away and move closer to each other. We're very agile in our sleep!
We start off snuggling and then his body temp. is so hot, that I have to roll over. When we wake up, we are both on our own sides with the dog between us!! We had a queen when we met, but upgraded to a king and we love it. There is so much more room and I usually don't even know when he gets up in the morning until he kisses me goodbye!!!
We have a queen and sleep on our sides of the bed, not touching. Back when FI had a full we had to squish together and didn't sleep all that well. We both just sleep much better on our own sides. I tend to get hot during the night and his body is always too warm so I have to keep my distance.
Plus, the dog likes to sleep between us.
I almost always fall asleep touching my FI somehow (hands, feet, spooning, my head on his chest) but always wake up on opposite sides of the bed. I usually end up on my stomach and he's on his back. We have a full sized bed and there really isn't a whole lot of room, but I love to cuddle, so I'm not complaining! :)
I am a major cuddly sleeper. I love being near FI, and we usually find ourselves in the morning with him all the way on his side of the bed (almost falling off), and me there pretty much right on top of him all snuggled up. It's a running joke between us that my snuggling is going to cause him to fall off of the bed one of these days. On hot nights I do tend to stick to my side of the bed though.
This post makes me feel so much better. FI works 3rd shift so during the week I have the entire bed to myself. On the weekends when he's off and we sleep together he just tosses and turns and one of us usually ends up on the couch.
I was starting to feel like we were so not normal!
Me and fi cuddle a lot (like on the couch) but Ican't stand to be touched when I'm trying to sleep! I need my space! My fi also is a heavy breather and I am a light sleeper, he needs to face the other direction so not to breathe into my ear, so we basically sleep back to back.. It was hard at first though, because my fi is HUGE on cuddling and if it were up to him he would sleep on top of me! But, he learned to respect my sleeping habits, so now we are good!
p.s: Fi had MAJOR snoring issues when we first started living together. He would have to sleep on the couch half the time. BUT, we figured out how to lessen the snoring (no heavy meals before bed, only 1 pillow , and if he stll snores, he just moves onto his side and the problem is solved).
Wow, I guess we're petty far in the minority here: we're both big cuddlers, all night. We cuddle when we're falling asleep and wake up cuddling (in a different position, but still, cuddling).
We both have a side of the bed and we stay on that side. I am super greedy with my sleep. We will cuddle maybe for a little while, but then it is straight to business (the business of sleep).
We both like to be close to the edge of the bed when we sleep. When we've stayed in a hotel with a king bed, it felt like we were sleeping in different zip codes!
We cuddle when we fall asleep and usually when we wake up, but we're both pretty active sleepers. I tend to kick and move a lot and so does he. So I think we cuddle till we're asleep and then someone ends up moving and we usually wake up on seperate sides of the bed and then cuddle. If either of us wakes up in the middle of the night we cuddle up....but then move apart. Both of us hate being hot while sleepingso I think this has something to do with it.
We're pretty big cuddlers. We always cuddle before going to sleep, and half the time we fall asleep cuddling or touching legs or feet or something. When the alarm goes off, the first thing we do is hit snooze and cuddle. It's one of my favorite things in the world!
we cuddle sometimes. lately i've been staying up watching criminal minds as he drifts off to sleep (he gets up earlier than i do)... we usually just sleep on each of our sides, cuz FI's a light sleeper and i have a hard time staying comfortable in one position... we always have a thing about touching each other's skin. sometime's it's holding hands, sometimes it's my hand on his chest, or intertwine our legs.... etc. it helps me fall asleep better o:)
My husband and I usually start out cuddling and then end up on our own sides of the bed. We both need our space to sleep, but my husband is a huge cuddler, and cuddling is the only way I can relax lately so it's needed. Sometimes I wake up to us cuddling though. We share a twin bed so we're rarely ever not touching when we sleep.
I need more sleep than FI, so sometimes he tucks me in and goes back upstairs, then slips in on his side a couple hours later. But when we go to bed together, we're usually cuddling and fall asleep in some kind of cuddle position. But I am like you, I prefer nothing touching me in order to fall asleep and it's a shame we don't have a king bed because I like to sprawl out. I take up more room than DH! :)
LOL!!! Mr.TKE and I continously fight over our full size bed! Although he denies it, he sleeps on 2/3 of the bed...and I lay on my right side on a measly 1/3 of the bed. Of course it doesn't help that when I wake up in the morning my knees to my feet are hanging off the end of the bed...lol...so really I take up less than that.
We cuddle for the first bit, but always end up on opposite sides of the bed by the end of the night. He gives off too much body heat and I always wake us sweaty when we cuddle all night. I'm a cover thief, lol. Big time.
We cuddle as we go to sleep. :) We cuddle so tight, sometimes I wake up to use the restroom and can't get out of the grip he has me in.LMAO
Mr. Queens and I are larger than the average bear so you can imagin how sleeping in my full is awkward. When we go to a hotel we ask for a king -- best night sleep in the world - we start out cuddly then can find our space and lots of it but some how we alwayd wake with something touching and sometimes even cuddling. If I cant get at least a queen bed -- I will never have good nights sleep again
somehow i wind up like a burrito in the middle. He has a reserve blanket for when i steal the "shared" one.
We have a king-sized bed (and with us and 3 dogs, it's almost too small, LOL!).
I do not like to be touched while I sleep. I'll cuddle before falling asleep, but when it's time to sleep I want my space!
I love to be spooned, its the best feeling in the world. My FI can't sleep unless he is on his other side facing away from me. Sad me. We compromise. He spoons for me for a little before rolling over and going to sleep.
We are literally on top of each other, it's ridiculous. We can't sleep without having limbs thrown over each other.
Like most you ladies, I can't stand to cuddle/be touched when I am trying to go to sleep. Both the boy and I sleep on our tummy's facing opposite directions. Oddly enough, if we are just napping we tend to cuddle with him on his back and my head on his chest (I only nap when I'm dog tired so this is probably why I can do it).
BUT, we always cuddle in the mornings for like a half hour in that half asleep/half awake time before getting up and ready for the day :)
We both move around lot when we sleep, so somebodys something is smooshed or thrown over someone's elses something, pillows are everywhere, then I'm a huge bed hog so I generally end up taking up more bed then I really need, then if the baby starts crying he'll come back into our room and he'll do this weird thing where instead of sleeping properly he'll lie perpendicular over the foot of the bed...were a mess me and him.
