dessilove: I’d rather no flowers than fake flowers but that’s just me.

Agreed.  I just have never really liked them.

dessilove:  I personally don’t mind fake flowers as I have so many family/friends who are allergic to flowers. Silk flowers (depending where you get them from) can look fairly close to being real. I think it all depends where you buy the flowers from and what you plan on doing with them. I would use the Real Touch flowers. If you can’t find any that fit your budget and look more on the real side, maybe you could use something instead of flowers (the pom pom balls made of tissue paper, candles etc).

I like certain types of fake flowers, but for a bridal shower I probably just wouldn’t bother, or buy one nice centrepiece of real flowers.

I wouldn’t think much of it, there are lots of beautiful “fake” flowers out there.

dessilove:  Good fakes don’t bother me (I hate those old lady ones.. but there are lots of good ones around these days!)

That said, the good ones are usually more expensive than real ones so if you’re considering it from a price perspective you’d be better of buying really big bunches of one type of flower from a market and splitting them up in to smaller bunches 🙂

I think you can get really pretty flowers or even greenery for the same price as fake flowers- if cost is the issue.    I’d personally never use fake flowers for anything.
