Im wearing a very plain white dress, with a red sash. Wearing a red headband with a veil hooked to it. And im wearing red converse with black laces. I was considering wearing gloves that are red and black (our wedding colors). Do you think having 2 colors plus your white dress is too much going on? I feel more comfortable with the black but i already have my sash that is red. I know i will not look ‘traditional’ anyways because i have alot of visible tatoos. So shouldnt i just go with whatever i feel i like? I just always thought you shouldnt do more than one color though.

@iluvmy67cuda: I personally wouldn’t do it, but it sounds like it should be okay!

@iluvmy67cuda: I think if you throw the black into the golves then you should put the black somewhere else too other than on your back. That way it ties. But other than that I think its great that you get to do what you want and will definitely look unique! 🙂

I think it’s cool if that’s the look you want! I am probably going to wear some turquoise jewelry and colorful flowers in my hair, both of which match my wedding colors. We are going for a colorful festive look to the whole shebang though.

I say go for it! I don’t think there should be a limit on what you wear on your wedding day because it is YOUR day!

I dont think im going with these gloves, i’ll probably get some gloves that are red with some black. The shoe laces would be black instead of white. The sleeves still need to be adjusted and sash sewed on. And obviously i need a good support bra and spanx and all that. But this is just to give you a idea on how much color is going on.

I think gloves make that outfit too busy. The red sash is nice, and the headband! I would stick with red accessories (aside from black shoelaces, if you really want — doesn’t seem like they’ll be visible in the dress anyway. Red AND black gloves is just a lot of … stuff.

@iluvmy67cuda: black isn’t a very loud colour, so it’s not like red and purple which would compete for attention. it’s not very traditional, but it doesn’t seem like that’s what you’re going for.

do you think the gloves would look better if i made the sleeves way shorter? like cap sleeve length?

@iluvmy67cuda: Yes, I think that would really help with the busy-ness issue. Can you do that yourself?

I agree with PP… It’s a little busy! But if you made it cap cleeved, I think it would be WAY better!
