This is kind of random I guess, but how does one pursue their dreams when everything is stacked against it? My passion is horses, always has been since I was 2 years old. All I’ve ever wanted is a lifetime with horses; it’s the one thing I know I’m really good at. Problem is, the money isn’t great, and the hours usually suck and are not supportive of having a “normal” life and family. I’ve had a normal career for the past 3 years, and while I like the security, the financial benefit, and the steady hours, it’s boring. I’m good at my job, make about $50k a year doing it, and it’s pretty darn easy. But I want more. I always pictured my life working with horses in some way or another. FI isn’t a horse guy, and he’s a big family man, so wants me around on weekends, available if there are sick kids etc. I am considering taking a farrier program as a foot in the door. Problem is, it’s a 2 year program, it’s only available in certain areas, I am 32 years old, and I am co parenting with my FI and his son. I want this so badly, I just can’t figure out how to make it work.
Bee’s, how did you make life work and follow your dreams? Can I do this?
