You want to hire Cirque Du Soleil to perform during your actually wedding? Or at the reception?

And yes, I think that having acrobats is overdoing it. Big time.

I always thought the focus of the ceremony was supposed to be on two people uniting in marriage, not going to the circus.

I would leave such entertainment for the reception, if at all.

My vote is….Yes , overdoing it.

However if you guys are in some type of theatre or performance niche and It would really be a reflection of the couple than ..maybe. But if your doing it to WOW folks, then I would advise against it!

I think that would be super expensive, and way overdoing it…unless it is in line with your personalities/interests.  =)

Some cultures have big wedding processions so if it fits what your envisioning for you day then go for it. Just make sure your venue is appropriate for such a performance.

It’s a bit much (especially for the ceremony), unless it’s something that has personal meaning for you and your FH.

A bit much. But i’ve had good friends have cirque du soleil dancers at their reception and it was beautiful! just a little 7 minute show…

Yeah… too much. I want to see two people in love at a ceremony not a show. What you’re describing is very theatrical and dramatic but I think it would distract from the whole point of the day.

IMHO I think it is too much if you are going to hire them do it at the reception…
