I got my BFP two days before my missed period with one of those crappy blue dye tests!

So get a three pack of pink dye tests and try Sunday, Tuesday, and you’ll still have one to confirm with if you get a BFP!

I thought I was wasting a test when I tested, looked down after re-reading the back of the box, and there was a LINE! A big, beautiful line!

I’m probably no help because all I can think about is POAS! I am TTC, but I know it’s way to soon to test. I’ll just get a BFN and be sad. So I know I have to wait… but it consumes my thoughts. :/ Posting to get some advice on how to wait and also to let you know you aren’t alone in your thoughts.

Whatever you do, DO NOT focus on every little twinge… I’m currently TTC and even before that I finished off my BC about 6 months before that and I was literally a pregnancy hypochondriac (still am…) So now, every twinge or craving or new bizarre symptom is now related to…

1. Stress

2. PMS

3. Being almost 30 and things are “changing”

4. I’m crazy and think everything is a pregnancy symptom<– this is usually the cause btw…

…and I refuse to take a pregnancy test until I am significantly LATE (like 5-6 days) otherwise you will drop a good bit of money on home pregnancy test. Unfortunately, thats all I can give you. LOL Once you get it in your head that you might be it is hard to get rid of! I would tell you to find something active to do like clean or go for a run but unfortunately I tried that and when I cleaned I thought “OMG I’m nesting I’m clearly pregnant!” or “OMG this run is killing me I’m so tired I’m clearly pregnant!”

I was like that the first month it was a serious possibility that I could be pregnant. In retrospect, I was making something of everything…things I knew were likely just to be related to the ol’ flow. It’s now my second cycle and I am not as into it this time around, just because I saw that I did everything right the first month and the odds are just against it. So, it may or may not fade for you going into next month.

As far as peeing on sticks…buy the cheapos on Ebay in bulk. I usually get 50 pregnancy or ovulation tests for about $5, including S&H, on there. I’ve really not seen a difference between them and the costlier versions at most stores. It pays to stock up on those so that you can occasionally indulge in the “am I…?” without really blowing much money. I feel insta-guilty if I pay $10 or so for a 2 or 3 pack of tests and end up using one a little too early.

Everytime I “think” I’m pregnant (get ALL of the symptoms) I’m not. The one time I thought I was out for sure was the month I DID get pregnant. Symptoms spotting is a terrible thing and it’s so hard to avoid!
