For me it’s whatever is work appropriate… that means not too many colors to choose from… mostly nudes, red, black, basic colors.  Definitely can’t go crazy, even though I want to sometimes! haha

If i’m on vacation though, I always pick the craziest colors…with sparkles! LOL

@codysgirl16:  mostly beige, very light pink.  Now, I’m really into grey, it actually looks great!

Trial and error for me.  Luckily, I do them myself, so it’s not too expensive if i hate it.  I do end up with a ton of bottles I hate tho.  🙁  But even if I hate it on my hands, I don’t hate them on my toes so it’s not a total waste.

Check out zoya.com if you want to try some new colors yourself, normally $9/bottle, they have a promo for 3 “free” with $12 shipping right now.

@codysgirl16:  I usually do my nails myself, but before buying a bottle, I google for swatches of that color on real nails. That way I can get an idea of what its going to look like outside of the bottle!

I usually go for lighter more neutral tones when I am working, my nails chip a lot when I work or sometimes I have to wear gloves (lab) which seem to remove the polish from the very tips of my nails so this way it’s less noticable if it happens.

Otherwise I love going for seasonal or fun colors when the occasion calls for it!

I love obnoxiously bright colors! Which is why I rarely do my nails…

I pretty much have 2 colors: rich/bright red for winter/colder months and then a bright orangey red for the summer.

I have found that those are just the ones I like the best.

@codysgirl16:  My salon has the chips that look like nails that you can hold over your own nails, against your skin tone. I generally choose a light pink that’s very classic.

I usually just go with whatever color I’m “feeling” at the moment! Last time (I do the gel mani’s) it was a standard/almost dark red, this time it’s a dark berry color, next time will probably be something nude!

I looooove love love Nicole OPI’s Coco a gogo, I found it in CVS.  If I could be boring and have one color forever, that would be it.  I think it’s a good reddish/mauvy neutral without being too light and pale.

I have a very pale pink on now and don’t really like it.
