    Fresh only. I begrudgingly eat the canned stuff to be polite if I’m at someone else’s table, but fresh all the way!

    Growing up the only type of cranberry sauce I was familiar with came in the form of a perfect cylinder with ridges. It was an amazing discovery when I started cooking and decided to take on Thanskgiving and made cranberry sauce from actual cranberries and spices. Unfortunately, my family was not impressed! It was all lumpy and spicy! So now when I host Thanksgiving for my family, I put out a bowl of delicious homemade cranberry sauce and then I ceremoniously plop that gelatinous, ridged cylinder onto a plate for the ones who are afraid of change.

    I have 3 cans in my cupboard! LO|L but you know what? I haven’t had freshly made cranberry sauce so I don’t know.

    Ocean Spray canned with the whole berries. Preferably on a leftovers turkey sandwich.

    @Eglantine:  Me too!!  Actually my mom also started providing both the “actual” cranberry sauce and the gelatinous cranberry sauce… tbh I eat both but prefer to gelatinous one, it is just so reminiscent of childhood Thanksgiving to me!

    Fresh only, unless it’s not really Thanksgiving and there is nothing but canned available!

    And it has to be the kind that’s just cranberries and sugar– I hate it when people put spices or oranges in it 😛 🙂

    I’m with @cirk:, I like far away from me! Bleh! Oddly enough I DO like cranberries so I don’t get why I hate that stuff so much.
