Weddingbee boards

Hey everyone! I'm planning my best friend's wedding shower. I want to have a wishing well for her, for the shower guests to bring cash donations. (Please no debating about the tastefulness/tackiness of asking for cash...it's quite acceptable in our circle of friends and family! The bride and groom already have a house, kitchen stuff, etc. and everyone knows that!)

ANYWAYS - my question is how can I make a fun and unique wishing well without it literally being a wooden garden ornament?! I have to travel 340 miles for the event, so something made out of light materials would be helpful when traveling. Her shower theme is “Love is Sweet” with bright pinks, oranges, greens, blues, and  LOTS of candy! Thanks for any help you can give me!

Oh, and PS - just incase there are any folks out there needing a not-so-stupid way of hinting to shower guests about the well, here's what I came up with after mixing a few different poems I found online! (I think having the maid of honor throwing this out there for the bridal shower is a WHOLE lot better than having the bride and groom asking for cash at their wedding!)

To save you from looking and shopping or buying,

Here’s an idea we hope you’ll like trying.

A wishing well we thought would be great,

But only if you’d like to participate!

To shower this couple, it would be so swell,

to throw some coin in they’re wishing well!
