As I mentioned on another thread, BF bought the ring while we were in the Caribbean in January. I am excited to get it and am trying to enjoy the anticipation. However, sometimes I just feel so darn impatient. My birthday is coming up and I am trying to manage my expectations so that I don't wind up disappointed if it isn't time yet. [All indications are that he has gotten me a present that is not the ring and I have no reason to believe that the proposal will be then.]

So please share with me how you help yourself chill out and not obsess about when it will be. I'm sure there are many of you surfing these boards like I am excitedly pre-planning wedding stuff. Ah, breathe.

i get on the bee and I look up stuff for the wedding to entertain myself. That way I don't stress out about the ring or stress him out!

Trying implementing Mr. Bee's plan for engagement. It will help you focus more on yourself.

I am just trying to keep occupied, mostly by browsing the bee. @Magsalot, what is Mr. Bee's plan for engagement? I must have missed that post...

That's a great thread. Thanks for posting it, Magsalot.

Now that I think about it, I have sort of been following his advice. Between being super busy at work, continuing to maintain friendships with my girlfriends, and being somewhat preoccupied by this board and my covert wedding planning, I have been, how do I say this, less focused on him lately.

Honestly, I don't think there are any issues on his part other than waiting for the right scenario (whatever that is) but it certainly helps both of us that I am a little distracted.

So, thanks bees for your wonderful, entertaining, and informative posts which provide a much needed diversion. :)
