I live in NYC but am from midwest.   It’s so funny to hear people say draw.   I don’t even know how to type how I say it.

It’s in the droor.

@Aquaria:  I say drawer. I don’t know how to type the phoenetics! I come from western NY. However, my grandma says warsh instead of wash. She grew up in Buffalo.

If I’m saying drawers to refer to underwear (something I’d never seriously do) I pronounce it drawlz. Because…come on. that’s hilarious!

In a sentence…

He wasn’t wearing any drawlz. ha!

@Aquaria:  I can’t believe I let this slide, I had to come back! I now live near Philadephia. Oh my word, these people make me giggle. When I first moved here I worked as a cashier in a grocery store. This lady says to me “I have wooder under the cart.” I said “What?” Lady “I have wooder under the cart.” Me “What???” Lady (now annoyed) “I have WOODER under the cart!” Me *confused look on my face* Lady (really annoyed) “I HAVE WOODER UNDER MY CART!!!” I lean way over the counter so I can see…”Ohhhhh, you have WATER under your cart!” LOLOLOLOL.

I say it kind of like “drAwr”– not sure how else to communicate that! Definitely do not put the emphasis on the “r”, with most of the emphasis being on the “A”.

I am from Louisiana, so not exactly the pronunciation captital USA.

@skippydarling:  I was going to use that same spelling to explain!

It’s DROAR. Like “door” but with a dr as in drool. take the first part of drool and the last part of door and that’s it lol. make sense?

@Aquaria:  I’m from Jersey, live in New York and thats how we say it too. My dad has a heavy, North Jersey/Bronx Tony Soprano accent, its really entertaining to listen to.
