    I’ve always said, and only heard, Lee-na.  Saying it the other way sounds very awkward to me!

    I always think of Lena Horne when I see the name.  Lee-na

    I always said Lay-na because of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. That’s how they said it in the movie!

    annb9:  In the movie they girls call her Lee-na, but her grandmother and Kostos call her “L-eh-na”. I always assumed it was the accent.  I say Lee-na. I love the name.

    MrsGatito:  Yeah, I think it was the Greek accent! I meant to say that’s how the grandmother said it, but apparently my fingers type faster than my brain works sometimes.
