I honestly can’t decide. haha. As much as I love when my SO surprises me at work, he always decides to do it on a day when I just threw something on, didn’t shower and didn’t put on makeup. I’m not saying I have to get all dolled up every time I see him, but I’d at least like a 5 minute warning so I can make sure I don’t have a unibrow or something hanging out of my nose!
Like today, I wasn’t expecting to see him until tomorrow, but he just texted me and asked me to come over after work. I look a fright. I know he doesn’t care but I like taking the time to look nice. I totally dressed like a soccer mom (sneakers, unwashed hair in bun, baggy work blouse, mom jeans) thinking I would just go right home and go to bed. And, it’s also 100 degrees here.
Am I the only one that still likes to “get ready” before a date?

I hate surprises! I mean I like not knowing what a present is until I open it, but even that can be risky!!! Luckily, my MOH knew this so she didn’t try to spring any surprise bachelorette parties on me. My sister wanted to surprise me with a shower but MOH put the kibosh on that pretty quick. I like to know what I’m doing in advance, or odds are I’ll show up tired, hungover, cranky, underdressed, or all of the above!

I HATE surprises! I did not have a stable life or childhood, so I do not like any kind of surprise. Plus my mother is crazy so I have had a lot of bad experiences with “surprises.” I would be pissed! (If someone threw me a surprise party.) I like to know what is going on. I can’t trust my family so I have trust issues.

I love a good surprise, but they usually embarrass me.

- Wedding: July 2012 - The Gables Inn, Santa Rosa, CA
While I love the fact that someone cares about me enough to go through the effort of planning something and puting all that effort into keeping it from me (when FI proposed, we were camping, and everyone but me knew that he was going to).
I HATE being in the spot light– so if it’s a minor surprise like showing up to treat me to lunch, or surprise reservations at my fav. restaurant, I’m thrilled– but when it’s coming home from a long day at work to find a surprise birthday party or having my name called and being asked to stand at a fundraiser to recognize me for my volunteering… not so much…
And I’m also a micromanager… So no– I don’t like surprises.

I don’t like surprises. They make me nervous. I’m never comfortable when I don’t know what’s going on.

HATE them. HATE them. HATE them.

HATE. I am a giant control freak and they cause me terrible anxiety.

I’m okay with them as long as I don’t know about the surprise until right before (or when) it happens. In a situation where someone is coming to visit me somewhere, I prefer a warning so I can get myself or my house together. I get really anxious when I know that there is *some* surprise, but can’t know what it is.

I absolutely LOVE surprises. I’ve thrown so many surprise parties, I can’t even count. But nobody has ever thrown one for me, and I’d really love to have one! lol.
I love any kind of happy surprise though! Gifts, people visiting, phone calls, whatever!!!!

I hate them and mostly because I always find out beforehand somehow and than have to act surprised…

I don’t care for surprises from other poeple but from my SO I love them! At first I thought, what a weirdo stop surprising me. But now I just love them. They’re usually small things that aren’t that expensive but are so sweet and he knows I will love. Like making a surprise dinner for me with everything I love to eat or buying me a book I’ve been wanting to read. It’s simple stuff but means so much to me now. I usually figure his surprises before he gives them to me lol which frustrates him.

It depends on the surprise….
