@Mimoza:  I say deli meat and ground beef, my husband says cold cuts and chopped meat; I think it’s a regional thing (I’m from CA he’s from NJ).

In Australia ground beef is beef mince. I’ve never really heard anyone refer to “cold cuts” it’s usually cold meat or sliced meat if it’s on a platter, or sandwich chicken/sandwich ham etc any other time.

I say cold cuts and ground beef, FI says… well I don’t know what he says about the cold cuts, he usually just calls it what it is “sliced ham” or something, but he says “mince” for the ground beef.

You should make the poll so we can vote for more than one.

@Mimoza:  My dad was a butcher/meat manager at a large grocery store chain for 30+ years.  In our family it was always “cold cuts” and “chop meat.”  At it was always deee-lish!

Soda and pop… I don’t like hearing pop. Also, I don’t like hearing soda pop. It’s “soda.” Haha, I know everyone has their own opinion on the subject.

Oh also, I moved about 3 years ago to a new area. The term for shoes that I’ve always used is “kicks.” But everyone over here looks at me weird when I say that.
