First, you have to learn the secret handshake.
Second, you have to scroll to the top of the screen (above where it says Weddingbee) and type the search criteria in the Google search box!

You can also go to Blog and then Archives. They are listed by month and year, which could be time consuming. You could also try the Tags.
Every time I use that search box it just googles things - I don't want to search the internet - just the wedding bee blogs. LOL. I'll have to try the other way.

I also bemoan the poor search on weddingbee.. it's just frustrating because there's so much content - so you end up wading through sooo many pages, and a LOT of repeats. Also, not everything is correctly tagged - so some "shoes" threads or blogs will not come up if you search by tags because it was never tagged in the first place.

the search is completely powered by googler and only searches within weddingbee. you can then sort via blog only or boards only.
what i usually do is put the author's name in with the search term. there are only so many things you can blog about when it comes to weddings, so unfortunately many terms do turn up many results.
maybe i can help - what are you looking for?
Bearbride - sorry to hear about the search. We've partnered with Google, so I'm surprised to hear about the poor results and the many repeats. If you could post some sample queries that have been problematic, we can work with Google to improve those searches.
Regarding the tags, we tag every post manually... sorry if we missed some. Let us know which ones we missed, and we will do our best to tag them appropriately.
okay, here is an example. do a search for "lariat". you will see multiple results pointing to the exact same thread or blog. but not one result will point to a fairly recent board post where a user was looking for a lariat (see link below)

i hope i'm not offending you or mrs. bee by my complaints - this is such an excellently designed site and the search is really my ONLY complaint. i know that you guys work incredibly hard and of course there can't be 100% coverage.

another example of a search result that needs improvement. it's picking up instances of "hot searches".
