I usually don’t want to go either, but like you said it makes you feel better. I just don’t think about it, change and go. I usually blast some rock music on the way so I can get pumped up! I end up doing more than I had intended because it makes me forget about being on my period and wanting to eat my fridge. Which is another thing…everthing I eat (if I eat too much) it makes me not feel as bad since I am working out too.

@braverbeating:  I don’t know, I have the same issue. Plus my hands and feet swell when I get my period so I get very sore after workouts.

@braverbeating:  I’m ok after the first 2 days. It is just really rough the first 2 days, plus I have a hard time staying hydrated.

I’m not sure. Today is one of 5 days a month that I am sitting at home eating pizza from a box (the kind that comes with cookies too,) sipping on a big glass of wine and about to watch a movie. I’ll go to the gym tomorrow…maybe.

If it doesn’t bother you and you typically work out in the morning – sleep in your gym clothes so you really don’t have much to do before going out the door. Just get up, brush your teeth, wash your face, eat something small, and get going.  I find that I feel really guilty when I consider not going if I’m already dressed to go… I know how silly it is, but it works for me sometimes…
