Google docs is a Godsend. Fiance and I use it for everything, gathering addresses, guest list, our list of music we are creating for the ceremony and reception for the dj, budget stuff too. We both have androids so we can update things on the go too – which is helpful.

I also have a binder like you, with dividers and plastic sheets for saving contracts, receipts etc. 

Oh yeah, and have you joined Pinterest yet? It’s fantastic (and addicting!) I have bought some bridal mags, but it’s SOOOO much easier and faster to pin stuff from the internet and have it all in one place for you. (Don’t blame me if you get addicted to it and can’t stop pinning things…don’t worry it happens to everyone I think, lol)

@Mrs. Bear Cheese Pie:  I know, I love it! I’m starting to actually pin non-related wedding stuff now too, lol. I’ve started a new one for hair and makeup ideas but I should really go through and “organize” my general inspiration board. We’re doing a winter theme so I have just been grabbing stuff left right and centre. 

How is planning going other than then?

I have all my wedding stuff in Excel and I love it! I have a column for each category – cake, music, decorations, etc. and then just fill in information or to-dos in the appropriate column.

My Fiance is abit obsessed with all things google – so he found that google hasd a whole set of wedding templates/spreadsheets. It’s been so helpful – and we can add our parents to it which is great.

Love me some Google Docs. We had spread sheets for venues, caterers, guest list, and now mailing list, which will also track RSVPs, gifts and thank yous.

All the loose papers are in a file box. I didn’t use an online wedding planning list, because it doesn’t work for our timeframe-we’re half-way through a 6-month engagement, and will finalize our caterer choice next week- those websites said to do it at the 8 month mark. Also- they were a little too overwhelming for me- I looked at the one on theknot, and was ready to elope!
