I steamed mine with a home clothing steamer I bought. Worked perfectly.

No, I had a drop veil, but it should soften. It may be the starch in the tulle that makes it stiff. If there is no glue on the comb, you may try soaking it for a bit in fabric softener and then steaming it. If your too skiddish about that, talk to your seamstress and ask her. Many of them also make veils so they are pretty informed on how they are put together and with what materials.

@Coral99:  My last wedding, I hung my veil in the bathroom with me while showering. The steam softened it, and it didn’t cost me extra to do.

I made my drop veil for $3, plus some fancy hair pins. If you want some help trying to make one, hit me up on DM.

I hung mine on the far end of the bathroom shower rodand ran the shower for a while to steam up the room.  Worked great.  I’ve done it with several veils that were shipped from China, so they were really creased.

I also hung mine in the bathroom while showering without the fan on so it would steam the veil and it worked! No wrinkles! Good luck!

My husband brought a steamer from Amazon for clothes use. As long as you don’t get too close, it’s fine. Mine worked really well and wasn’t creased at all (and had been shipped from USA to UK so was VERY wrinkled!)

My veils (yes veils)  I ended up with 3 of them and 2 of them got wrecked thanks to my cat. All I did was hung them up on a hanger for a few days after hanging the wrinkles were gone

@Coral99:  Mine was one-tier, but when I first unpacked it you could see the folds in it, and it was poufy.  I just hung it in the bathroom with me, took a nice hot relaxing shower, and the steam in the room de-poufed it and it layed flat!  Took the wrinkles and everything right out. 🙂

@Coral99:  Mine was really wrinkled the morning of the wedding so I took a nice warm shower and hung it on the bathroom door. It was perfect in just a few minutes. 🙂

Hung it near the shower while I took a hot shower.
