Sent you something about it in my PM.
I find those things from Michaels are seriously, seriously outgrown very fast, and bins are too easily made messy.
Honestly I'm getting to the point where I need a seven foot bookshelf for everything, haha. Can't wait for a two bedroom so I can have my craft room!
Honestly? I have an entire crafting room to myself, walls lined with shelves and cabinets and little plastic shoeboxes full of supplies-- and it's still a disaster. Whenever I'm in the middle of a project, I hate putting it away mid-way through, so I just shove it in the craft room til I can keep working on it. It's not a great system, but it's all I've got right now. I was actually considering taking some time to organize some stuff tomorrow or Wednesday night, but crafting is so much more fun than cleaning.
My office is my craft/scrapbooing room! I have wicker baskets in my bookshelf that I store things in or I use plastic containers (shoe box size) and label and organize them according to the craft (ex. jewelry making, scrap paper, scissors/ruler/hotglue, etc)
Boxes, plastic bins and plastic drawer sets. We have a three season room in our apartment that I keep all the storage everything in and drag into the living room when I want to work on something. If I need to break from the project I just shove it out into the three season room until I am ready to finish it. It's not the best system but it works for me until we get a house and I can have a craft room.
i go the plastic bin route too...the big ones and the small drawer ones. I also use those flat boxes with dividers (ya know the ones spilt up into little compartments for beads and things.
Someday i'd love a set up like this:

Krissybee, that's beautiful!
I want this: http://www.theoriginalscrapbox.com/furniture.htm?c1=google&source=keyword-scrap&kw=crafting%20armoire
KMSull- wow!!! thats awesome!!! i've never heard of those before... i love that you can chose the finish and color too. BOOKMARKED!!
Yours for only $1300! Totally worth it, if only I didn't have to move in August...
@KMSull - This is my face right now.

That thing is awesome!!! The only thing is that I would like a bigger work surface. You'd only be able to fit your Cricut on there and that's it. I've got the whole schmoozle of stuff, so I literally take up my WHOLE diningroom table when I'm DIYing. But just for the storage alone. Sigh. That would be awesome. I can hardly wait until we renovate and I get to have a whole craft room!!!
I'm just holding out for Krissybee's picture above.
My goodness, KMSull, that thing is amazing!! I go the assorted size plastic bin route myself, for the time being - I LOVE the container store, getting organized is so satisfying!
i think i just came a little looking at this..

and as you know my things for work and home crafting are in cardboard boxes all over my living room and into the hallway as well as covering every shelf I have in my tiny apartment. i feel like an episode of hoarders.
STFU, that Scrap Box is AWESOME!!! I must convince my husband that we NEED one...hmm...
OMG! love it! Do you think my FI would care if I registered for a scrapbox? ;)
I'm totally unorganized. I stuff 'em all in a big tote bag and hide it in the closet. I should fix that.
P.S. 5,000 posts!!!!
woo hoo!! bee keeper @amanda! congrats! haha.. i like your organizing skillz

Alright, I'm totally at a loss. Ever since I've started doing wedding craft stuff, my apartment is a WRECK with supplies. I'm serious, they're currently all over the FLOOR in my second bedroom.
So, how do you solve the craft clutter? Do you use those little cabinets you can buy at michaels? Or the storage bin solution with clear plastic boxes?
