i think it will be very low key and understated. He has teased about doing it on a jumbotron which is adorable but totally not his style (i don't think). I secretly hope he'll wrap it in a christmas gift for me, that would rock or slide it on my finger a diamond is forever 1996 commercial style:D
my boyfriend asked me how i wanted to be proposed to and he'll probably end up doing it that in some shape or form. i know i probably shouldnt have told him so it would be a surprise, haha. he could still switch it up though, who knows. i told him i thought it would be romantic to take a walk at night while its snowing and have him propose.
He'll probably do it either at home, or at our favorite sushi restaurant (they know us there). Really, those are the only two options I can think of that he would feel comfortable, since we're both VERY low key!
my friends and I seem to agree that BF will do it on some random day in a very low key kind of way..he is a quite mellow guy that romantic meter doesnt go too high lol..its kind of cute how clueless he is sometimes!
I have no idea. He asked me how I wanted it done (on the first date,LOL) but I doubt he is going to do that. (It requires flying to New York City during Christmas.)
I think he will take me to dinner and do it or do it while we are waking up one morning. Not sure. he hasn't given me any type of hint, so I'm at a loss.LOL
a walk at night in the snow sounds so romantic! and i'm thinking i'll probably be proposed to in a really low-key kinda way as well. he never asked me how i'd like to be proposed to and he hasn't given me any hints so i have no idea!
repip21- Yep, the snow would make it nice. I even bought myself a new winter white wool knee length coat to wear, just in case it snows here in GA....who am I kidding, I just want to look cute!LOL
My guy is a no hinter either. I hate that because I like hints to go with surprises.LOL
i'm totally clueless! he's relatively romantic if/when he wants to be, but i also know he's very "to the point". could go either way. the only trip we have planned is going to see his family for christmas and i knooooow he's not doing it then. who knows! i just hope it happens soooon!
I literally have no clue. He is being very secretive and I know he's going to try to trick me a few times.
I've thought about this, and honestly, like Aubergold...I have NO idea. I can't see him doing it at some restaurant because I know he isn't into attention. But I can't see him being too creative, either (no offense to him!) Sometimes I picture just coming home from work and he being there with the ring. Although, I get home earlier than him, so I wonder how that would work....
I am hoping for something low key and private! Ideally, I'd love a Christmas proposal, but we won't be together again until after Christmas, so I doubt that will happen.... But, for our 1 year anniversary, my bf got me a 1,000$+ diamond necklace from Tiffany's and took me to the coffee shop where we first met and gave it to me in a coffee shop (it was really sweet), so I keep telling him he has set the bar high from himself!
Im not exactly sure...but all i asked was that it be a surprise...its really hard to surprise me so i told him no V day or my bday because I will be expecting it! So we will see if he succeeds ; )
I have no idea, honestly, but there was an interesting development today. He asked me where I would want to go for a vacation over break. Not like a little vacation either...Disneyworld, NYC, California wine country, the Key West! And this is the first time he's mentioned doing something like this. Maybe a good time to propose, maybe just a vacation? Who knows!
@cre: I know, I'm so excited! As long as it's a warm destination I'm happy, haha. I really like the idea of him proposing when it can just be us, so we can enjoy the secret for a day or two. That sort of proposal would suit him too. We're both pretty private people, but romantic...so he wouldn't do something like rent a plane to fly a message overhead, but he would fly me to the tropics to wine & dine me for a week.
I say Key West, I LOVE it there!
My friend's husband proposed to her on a cruise, on the first night, because he told he wanted a whole week of them just celebrating it and enjoying it. And she couldn't call anyone because they were in the middle of the ocean! It is very special! :)
i once read that David Duchovny *cue X-Files theme* proposed while he and his girlfriend were getting ready for work in their walk-in closet. My man will probably do something like that, hahaha.
I'm guessing it'll be something low-key and private, which is pretty much our style... however, I have no clue as to how / when it will be! Sometimes not knowing a thing really unnerves me!

hi ladies! so i know we are all waiting for that lovely little left hand ring and i was just wondering.... how do you think your signifcant other will propose? i know that i have about ten million ideas of wonderful ways he could do it. i almoooost want to suggest to him some neat ideas about ways he could propose but i know he wants everything to be a surprise so i refrain from making suggestions!
do you think he'll take you at to a fancy dinner? just do it at home watching some good tv? take you on a mini-vaca? hmm...
