Usually, the flower has a comb or clip attached to it. If you are using a real flower, I suggest contacting your hair stylist to see what works best.
If you are using Real Flowers ask your florist... Usually all the hair I have done for brides using real flowers the flower usually has a thin wire going through it you can usually wrap this in the hair or around a clip or a comb or whatever works with the style.
As for silk flowers just use some Transparent Thread and sew it onto a clip or a comb or whatever works best for your hair...
I have very short hair and will attaching my flower to a pin curl clip
When my sister was working as a hairdresser, she would attach them with bobby pins. Combs don't work for ladies with fine or thin hair.

This might be a silly question but seriously I have no idea. I want to have a big real flower in my hair. Will the hair stylist find some way to fasten it in or do I need to get some type of special clip to hold it in? I am having my hair down with a bit of curls if that makes any difference.
