A little big?  A little tight?  Just right?

Sometimes (ahem once a month) I get super bloated and it's hard to take my rings off!  They're also tighter in the summer, looser in the winter.  But overall I think they fit just right.

How do you like to wear your rings?

And just for fun, what's your ring size? (I'm a 4 1/2 - I have long piano fingers.)

I still have NO clue what my size is ... my fiance totally guessed based on a "costume" ring I had in my jewelry box and it was exactly right.  I'm the same as you though -- tight in the summer loose in the winter.

I'm a 5 (I'm not sure if my fingers are "long," but I do play the piano!).

I am E-ring-less as of yet, but we're discussing it, and I'm thinking of telling him to get a 5 1/2 to allow for seasonal/temperature-related size fluctuation.

But at the same time, I'm trying to lose a little weight and am afraid that once I do, the 5 1/2 will be too big.

My e-ring is a 7.5 (I suddenly feel so self-conscious around all you 4- and 5-ers! ha ha), and I think that's the right size for me.  Right now (in the winter), I feel like it's too loose (when I've not eaten a bowl of popcorn the night before, I feel like it'll come loose when I wash my hands), but I tried on a 7 wedding band the other day, and I don't think it would allow enough for summer flux.

My e-ring is a 6 but has been re-sized a quarter size down.  When my hands are wet, or in the summer, it feels like it is going to slide off, along with its size 5.5 wedding band.  In the summer they generally  feel "right" unless I have just eaten my weight in salt!

My e-ring is a 3.5 but my wedding band is 4 (b/c the wedding band is an eternity ring so it can be sized down but not up, so I left a wiggle room in case my fingers change in size). But my fingers don't really change in size that much. I still have a ring from when I was fourteen yrs old that fits me perfectly!

**Just a side note. Funny story. My fiance asked a jeweler if he had to pay that much for my ring seeing how my ring size is so small, thus not requiring as much 'metal/gold'. <chuckling>

My ring is like yours, sometimes loose, sometimes tight, but mostly just right.  My ring size is a 5.

I've always wondering what will happen when I become pregnant, but I hope my fingers don't swll so much that I can't wear my rings.  Anyone else wonder about that?

Me e-ring is a 3.75 (I have pretty thin and small fingers) and it is still a little loose sometimes because I was between a 3.5 and 3.75, so the jeweler said it would be best to size up. I'm happy it has growing room though, just in case my fingers get a little bigger over the years, I just don't like that it rotates sometimes. And I'm like Sparkles, I have a heart knot ring from when I was a young teen that I still wear for sentimental reasons.

I don't recall exactly, but I want to say I was a 5, 5.5, somewhere in that range. Usually it fits just right, but here lately on some of the colder days, it slides more easily around my finger, but not to the point of coming off on its own. I almost literally -never- take my ring off, so I don't really know if it's ever difficult to take off. :P

E-ring is a 4.25 and a little too big. It makes me super paranoid to wear it because it can almost slide off on its own if I'm really cold. I was going to get it resized but a jeweler told me that it would fit a little tighter when worn with my wedding band (which is the same size) also, it's not too bad in the summer when it's hot... so I'm holding off on resizing it for now.

I feel like I've got big fingers too! E-ring is a 6.5 and a little too big. My wedding ring is a 6. My e-ring fits a little better on my ring finger now because it sits a little farther up my finger. Sometimes I wear my e-ring on my middle finger of my left hand, where it also fits better, and I think that looks really pretty. I get a lot of weird comments about it though so I guess not many people do that.

On a related note, my husband's wedding ring is a 6.5 too! He has really skinny fingers for a guy. His ring fits me too!

@ Sparkles: we got my husband's ring for less because it was a small size! So it is possible :)

My ring fits very well. It does spin when I'm cold, but otherwise stays right in place! My ring size is 5.75, and FI's is a 9!

Mine are both 5.5.  They do fit really differently between summer and winter, and sometimes between morning and evening!  I have ring bumps on both of them, which keep them from spinning, and also make it so that they have to be lined up just right to come off, which gives me a little more secure feeling in the winter when they fit a little loose.

I never intended to get them soldered together, because I thought my job might make it difficult to wear the e-ring all the time.  I have gotten in the habit of wearing my wedding ring on my left hand, and the e-ring on my right hand.  The settings are both a little chunky, which I like, but that makes for a lot to wear all on one finger.

And Sparkles, my husband's wedding ring cost more than mine, even though mine has 9 channel set diamonds and his has 5 - because of the amount of gold.  His ring finger is size 11 (he's a big guy, 6'6").  We joked that maybe he should have more diamonds, because at the price of gold it might be cheaper.

I'm like MrsBee.  Most of the time they fit just right. But if I've been walking around a lot and my hands swell then they're tight.  Or if I'm really cold they're loose.  However, they are loose enough on a routine basis that I don't wear them in the shower for fear of them slipping off my soapy finger and down the drain (which almost happened to my husband a couple months after the wedding- thankfully the drain was slow and he was able to catch his wedding band before it went down the drain!)

We haven't bought my wedding band yet, but my e-ring is a 5.25, and the jeweler told us to get that for the band I like. My e-ring fits perfectly when the temperature is normal. In Boston when it's *freezing* though, it twists and turns. I'm concerned when I move South, in the hot and humid summer, they will be too tight sometimes. My body really seems to fluctuate with the temp. Sigh!

Both of my rings are 3's!  The jeweler told me that I had the smallest fingers she had ever sized!

My ring is a 6.25 and feels a little loose. My wedding band will be worn on my right hand, which is slightly larger, so it's a 7.

Mine is too big when my hands are cold and just right when they're not. When I'm cold, though, gesturing wildly is enough to make it fly off of my finger! And I've got to be careful because apparently I love gesturing wildly.

I can't remember my size and somehow my husband eyeballed it - yes that's right, he just flat out guessed - the size of my finger.  He got it PERFECT.  Which is crazy because it doesn't fit my right hand, but fits my left, and its not like he could eyeball my fingers being diff. sizes.  We didn't talk/shop/anything about the ring before he proposed, and he also got exactly what I would have wanted had I picked it out.  I don't believe in fate,  but if I did....

@Sparkles - our jeweler did price our rings based on size  since metal costs are by the ounce and a few size difference does matter!

@lilly - a co-worker of mine didn't get her rings back on until 6-8 months after having her baby because of the swelling!  I guess the trick is to get them off in time if you need to....

I think I beat everyone here.  My engagement ring is a 8.25.  My fingers swell a lot, so we decided to get the wedding band in 8.5.

My FI originally got me a 5.5, but it was waaaay too big. My class ring was a 7, or so I thought. Maybe not :-/

I got it resized to a 4, but it's still a little too big. It'll fall off if my hands get cold, but I figure too big is better than too small and i don't want to lose any more weight, so a 3.5 probably wouldn't be worth it. I haven't decided if I want my wedding band in a 3.5 or 4 though. I'll probably stick with a 4.

My e-ring is a 4.25 and fits perfectly.  My wedding band is loose because it's an eternity band and they didn't come in the quarter sizes.  I dont' really notice the looseness because the e-ring keeps it in place.

My fiance bought my e-ring at a size 7 and we brought it down to 5.5. I find it's a little bit tight sometimes so I'm thinking of getting my wedding band at 5.75.

One problem I'm having is that the jewelers seem to be pushing for me to get my wedding band at 5.5 and not really listening when I tell them that I don't want it that small. I haven't  had it sized yet cause I want to see how my fingers will feel with it in the summer. Anyone else had problems with jewelers pushing a certain ring size on you?

Mine has been SO loose lately because it's been so cold! I bought one of those ring snuggies so it would fit tighter, but they just annoyed me so now it always slips to the side. Oh well- maybe they'll tighten up when I add my wedding ring in TWO WEEKS. wooohoooooooooooooo!

my ring (e-ring) has been a nightmare. it started off as a 7 3/4. my wedding band is an 8 and fits great. a week after the wedding the diamond in the e-ring flew out (it's a tension setting) so i had it sized to an 8. when the e-ring came back, it measured as a 7 1/2, though it was supposed to be sized as an 8. apparently, according to the manufacturer it was an 8. i say was as a few weeks later the diamond catapulted out of the ring (again) and when i took it back to the jeweler to be reset (again) i had them re-size it to an 8 1/2. now that it's an 8 1/2 it fits better (marginally) but it is still smaller than my wedding band that is an 8. did you follow all that? we've only been married 4 months and i'm ready to scrap both rings and just get one band. so frustrating!

My engagement ring is a smidge too big. In the summer, it feels like it fits perfectly, but in the winter (or when I'm cold) it feels loose. Which, honestly, is the way I prefer it! I have a weird thing with rings where I HATE having them too tight- to where I can't get them off. I'm paranoid that they'll cut off the circulation and I'll lose my finger. Stupid, I know, but I can't help it!

I'm a 4.5 but I think I'm actually smaller. They're WAY loose in the winter and they are sometimes just right in the summer. Most of the time they spin, spin, spin and it drives me nuts.

My E-ring is 8 ( yes, I am "full fingered bride") but it's quite big, esp. in winter. I think I need to have it resized to 7.5 or 7 3/4. No wedding band yet, but I expect to be around the same size.

Both 5's.  They are a little loose.  The 4.5 is too tight.   I worry about my e-ring falling off in water.  So I don't wear it in the shower, and I'm careful when washing my hands.  So far though it's never fallen off. *knock on wood*

Wow, I feel like I have huge hands now.  My E-ring is a 7.  Overall, I think it fits pretty well.  It's a little loose (and spins around) when my hands are cold (like right now!) but I think sizing down would make it too small.  In the summer or when I'm warm or working out, it fits tight, so I didn't want to go too much smaller.  I may have the jeweler look at it when I order my wedding band.

I made a point of telling my fiance my ring size randomly a couple of times and it turned out that when I did, he had already ordered my ring.  Based on what my sister told him, he ordered a 7 3/4 (not sure why she thought this was right!) so the week before he proposed he had to go in and get it resized!  Thanks, sis!

My E-ring is way too loose.  I usually wear it on my thumb!!! It's a 7, I think, and it should be a 6.5 or 6.  In the summer it fits ok though, so I'm hesitant to get it sized, but man... in the winter I shouldn't even wear it!  I think my weight fluctuates SO MUCH which is why I am so hesitant to get it resized.  Sometimes it fits... but most of the time it doesn't.

Mine are both size 3.5 and fit perfectly most of the time.  I know most people say their rings are looser in the winter when it's colder, but my rings fit tigher in the winter (b/c I gain some holiday weight and the heat is cranked up) and looser in the summer b/c my office is so cold from the air conditioning!

My e-ring's a 4.75. My promise ring was a 5, and too big, but now that it's on my right hand it's perfect so I'm glad I didn't resize it. The 4.75 is a tiny bit loose right now, it spins a lot, but I think that's just the cold. I've only had it a month, so I won't know how it'll do in the summer for a little while! My weight flucuates a lot too, and I'm on the lower end (and better stay that way till May!) now, so I'd rather have a teensy bit of extra room for when I add the few pounds back.

What does eating salt have to do with your rings ftting? I'm sure I should know this but???

My engagement ring is a little tight. I'm an 8.5 but my ring is a size 8 - not a huge different but it could fit better on my finger without it feeling so snug.

@petunka-I'm totally laughing at "Full-fingered bride".  Hilarious!

My e-ring is too big.  BUT, my fingers fluctuate so much in size that I haven't re-sized it for fear of finger swell-age.  It's a 6.5, and I think it should be a half size smaller.  We got the wedding band in a smaller size and it fits perfectly, so I was thinking of just wearing it as the more distal ring (closer to the knuckle) to keep the e-ring on correctly.  I don't want them messing with my e-ring if I can help it ;)

I think mine's just right now.  We had it taken down to a 5, and that fit perfectly for a couple weeks.  Then suddenly it seemed too big and was spinning all around.  My friends joked that it's "top heavy" so it's going to spin a little anyway How does your ering and/or wedding band fit? : wedding Icon Biggrin but it was a bit much when it slipped to my knuckle when I put my hand down at my side.  Now it's a 4.5 or 4.75, don't remember.  Much better, and I think it will be nice and snug in summer.

My rings were originally 4's because that's the smallest size the rings came in. Also my wedding bands are eternity bands so they are pretty difficult to size smaller.

Sooooo, I became one of those brides whose rings had balls. So now they fit perfectly during the winter time at a size 2.75 and a little snug during the humid summer months.
