So I was referred to a high-risk center here in town because of my darn blood-pressure which hasn’t been coorperating the last few weeks or so. They called today and set me up for our appointment this Wednesday the 8th for a consult with the Dr and a possible anatomy scan right after the appt. Is 17 weeks too early to tell the sex of the baby? Just curious, not that it matters, I just pray the baby is healthy which it seems to be. I am so anxious to go shopping for pink or blue already!
How far along were you when you learned the sex?

According to the schedule my doctor’s office gave me, we’ll find out the sex at our visit sometime around 18-20 weeks.
I don’t know for sure, but I would think you can probably tell at 17 weeks since it’s only a week earlier than they normally do it.

I was 14 weeks and they could tell. I go back in a few weeks to see if they were right.
If the baby is sitting right they should have no problem telling what he or she is.

I hope this little one cooperates because I’m dying to know already. lol….and just hoping and praying for good results 🙂

I found out at 14 weeks at my CVS. When I got my original NT scan around 13 weeks they guessed boy, and the CVS results confirmed the guess. A baby boy!
You should be able to find out the sex of your baby, as long as the baby cooperates. Good luck!

I’m pretty sure that after 16 weeks, they have a good chance of telling the gender. But, since most people don’t get their anatomy scans until weeks 18-22 that’s when most people find out. I found out at 18 w 5 days.
