I’m trying to work out a timeline for us and trying to figure out our picture situation. Our venue is gorgeous inside but doesn’t have any attractive outside spaces for pictures (no greenery at all). There’s a state park about 20 minutes from the venue and I’m trying to decide if that’s too far to travel for pictures? Did any of you travel away from your venue for pictures? How far did you go?
Bee photographers feel free to chime in with an opinion!

I’d say maybe 5mins. We went to 3 main locations to do pictures (train station, a cool graffiti-ed alleyway, and a nice garden, each taking maybe 5mins driving). And we also did a couple other “locations” – we walked around downtown, me and my bridesmaids had to pee so we stopped in at a pub and actually got some of the best pics there! We also got some pics by this really cool glass wall downtown, along with a couple other “locations”.

We were at a friends’ wedding this past summer and they had about a 2 hour break between the ceremony and reception to drive around the city in the party bus they had and for pictures.
The break was actually nice, because a lot of us just went back to the hotel and took naps (we were up late partying at the hotel pool after the rehearsal dinner lol) before the reception. The B and G also gave us ideas on what to do between, so I think if you want to take 20 min to drive to a nice state park, that’s probably ok 😀
