I bought mine about 10.5 months before my wedding. I think people should shop about a year in advance because some dresses can take up to that long! I did not have any dress regret and my dress came in about 6 weeks before the wedding and I loved it even more!

I procrastinated.  I finally shopped one day in late November (ordered the same day) for my April wedding.  So 5 months for me but considering the holiday season it was more like 4 (as the sales  ladies told me)

I ordered mine 10 months in advance. It will be here this month, meaning the dress will take 8 months to get in. No dress regret at all. I’m so excited!

crisy003:  10 month befre. I started sort of trying on 11 months prior. It is supposed to come in sometime this month – I am anxiously awaiting its arrival! My weight has been fluctuating so much over the past couple years that I didn’t want to go before then.

About 10 and a half months in advance. I guess it’s been a month and a half since I ordered it now, no regret yet. The sales lady told me it would be at least 6 months until it came in, but I haven’t even found it online yet so I’m wondering if it will be even longer…

crisy003:  I bought my dress 9 months in advance. I was told 6-9 months is a good range to order and purchase your dress (some take longer though it really depends on the designer). I ordered mine January 10th and I received the call saying it arrived at the salon on April 21st. So really only took 3 months 11 days to come in. Wedding is in September and I wanted to make sure it would arrive on time to do alterations. I originally had in mind a dress that I was thinking of ordering about a year and a half before I purchased my current dress. I definitely would have regretted the choice had I not looked at all my options!!
