    I really recommend What to Expect Before You Are Expecting and Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Both are great books with a lot of insight on TTC and what to expect.

    Don't worry your not alone!  We aren't TTCing until 2012 and i'm already reading up.  I have been reading http://www.babycenter.ca/ which talks about just getting your body prepared for TTCing such as kicking habits (smoking, alcohol, coffee), taking vitamins, getting in shape, weight loss, etc.

    Before December our plans for conception was try probably at earliest some point in late 2011. Even at that point I went to my OB/GYN for a preconception visit in Feb 2010, did bloodwork, asked her about prenatals. I had already been taking Centrum Max for Women multitamins. She said it was fine as long as it had enough folic acid in it. Which it def did along with everything else that is in prenatal vitamins. So I just kept on continuing taking my multivitamins.

    Since Dec when we decided we will start TTC I've slowly cut back my caffeine and alcohol intake. I drink minimal alcohol already, maybe a beer and a glass of wine a week, so no biggie there. It's the caffeine!! I love my morning cup of coffee, afternoon espresso and glass of coke at night not to mention the chocolate. Le sigh. And trying to be more conscious of what I eat per pregnancy guidelines. The way I look at it why not start adhering to the pregnancy diet now?

    @sweetkate:

    I'm currently on the library wait list for What to Expect When You're Expecting, at the rate the list is moving I'll give birth before it's my turn! Might buckle down and buy it tonight for my Nook!

    Currently reading What to Expect When You're Expected, the fetus POV. hehe. Not sure if how I feel about this one!

    I'm reading everything about TTC (started 1-2 months earlier) but I won't read anything about actual pregnancy.  I need something new to research when it finally happens!

    Though I'm a couple of years away from TTC, I rabidly research everything (hi, I'm a librarian!), so I probably started a few years ago when the first of my friends got pregnant.  I considered becoming a midwife at one point, so it wasn't totally nuts : )

    I started seriously reading a lot about 6 months prior to TTC.

    I read What to Expect while we were on our honeymoon, I knew that we'd start TTC about a month later. The first time I was pregnant I started doing little things for the baby, like cross stitched a blanket and I bought my husband a little sports outfit for father's day. And then I miscarried. All that stuff is currently hidden away in a box, I told my husband I don't want to know where it is. I'm pregnant again, and this time I waited until my 12 weeks to do anything baby.

    We probably won't TTC until 2012, but there are a lot of friends babies in utero or recently born right now! We've begun to try and figure out some things... and keeping eyes on others. for instance, Yesterday... our neighbors had a TON of great baby things lined up on their driveway. Not on the curb... but not really by the house either. We almost knocked on the door to see if it was for grabs (there was a very good jogging stroller and other great things!)
