How fast did your RSVPs come in, how many declined, and…

I don’t know about you, but I know I will have to contact a lot of them by phone to confirm. I would maybe start calling by close to end of April?

I just sent mine out two days ago and am wondering the same thing.

I got 1 or 2 a day up until the RSVP date. I ended up having to call about 10 people who didn’t mail theirs for various (and mostly stupid) reasons. Sigh. Beyond annoying.

I sent mine out with a large gap between the RSVP deadline and the wedding. I knew people would send them in late, so i didn’t bother chasing anyone until about a month after that deadline. The only people I actually chased were maybe about 10/180 invited guests.

Barbiestylez:  If I remember correctly.. are you a June 7 bride? I average about 3 every other day. I’ve received 36% with a 33% acceptance. It’s a slow haul and disappointing when there’s nothing in the mail box. Our RSVP date is May 17 so I won’t start calling until the day after that has passed. So far I think we have 43 out of 124 responses.

Barbiestylez:  We invited a little over 80 people. Of those, about 12 declined right away. I think we got about 70% of RSVPs back in time for our deadline. Our final numbers were 62 people (one couple no-showed, but we had a last minute invite to guy we didn’t realize would be in town to offset them)… so I think we did pretty well.

I totally hear you re: the anticipation of running to the mailbox each day. DH and I had a whiteboard that we would tick off for each yes and each no. It was fun but nerve-wracking at the same time as we had to give the venue ballpark figures when we reserved the spot, and we were praying that we would make the minimum cutoff.

Barbiestylez:  That seems like a good plan. Hard to believe we’re 63 days out!

Yeah, last week we went vegetarian and all I want is a delicious burger! I have lost just enough weight that my dress fits fabulously but it’s terrufying knowing that I can’t gain an ounce between now and the wedding. I suppose I could give up my wine… nope, not happening!

I admitedly always forget to send the RSVP back, even when I paln to attend. It always gets burried on my desk somewhere and I put it off knowing I have plenty of time. Now that I am a bride I am dreading that, I vow to RSVP in a timely manner for the next wedding I attend

I got back about 1 to 2 a day (sometimes more than 2 and sometimes none) up to the RSVP deadline. I had to follow-up with maybe 5-8 that didn’t send them back (I really don’t remember but it wasn’t a lot). I had an overall decline rate of 15%.
