I don’t mean a woman – all women do just fine in that respect. I mean as far as doing girly things — hair, makeup, dressing up, wearing stockings without ripping them, walking in heels, smizing…what am I forgetting?

@peachacid: I SUCK at being a girl. I can’t do hair at all, and I jsut recently started wearing eyeliner, and the occasional mascara. But all other make up, I look like a clown! I also can’t walk in heels. But I have been getting into dresses a little bit lately. I definitely was never a tom boy, and definitely never a girly girl… I was just kind of there.
EDIT: I don’t mind not being able to wear heels… I’m only 5’2 and SO is 5’4 🙂

I can’t blow dry my hair but I can wear pantyhose and walk in heels – does that count?

Aahhaha I’m below beginner, though I did vote beginner… I can put mascara on but I can’t even blowdry my hair without it ending up puffy, although if a professional does it its totally silky smooth without any product, so obviously I fail 🙂 I don’t wear makeup and just put my hair back in a basic “tucked under ponytail” bun. I also wear flip flops and flats, not high heels (I can walk in them, I just choose not to) lol.

Hair: I keep it short, so I can comb it and go in the morning.
Make-up: I tried it back in high school, 40 years ago. I gave up after that.
Dressing up: Yep, I do that sometimes.
Wearing stockings without ripping them: I had to wear pantyhose to work every day for about 20 years. I’m not sure I ever got more than 2 wearings out of a pair.
Walking in heels: I tried it back in junior high school. I gave up after that.
Smizing: What the heck is that?

I am at the bottom, too. I can blow-dry and straighten my hair, but I cannot blow-dry and use a brush at the same time. I just. don’t. get. it. I can put on make-up but everytime I try for blush it ends up in the wrong place.

@loving_life: My hair gets puffy when I blow dry it too! I dont know HOW people get it to look so nice!

@peachacid: I have been doing my own hair since 11 and makeup since 16 (now 24) so I’m pretty good. I cn even airbrush do nails and eyebrows. My only Achilles heel is… Well heels! I cn only wear up to a certain height and then I turn into a walking penguin

Beginner. I can put on mascara better than anyone. My foundation isn’t terrible. I only just learned to blow dry my hair… two weeks ago? I like the occassional sundress, but I am most comfortable in jeans and a white vneck tee. Heels are the devil.
P.S. Your poll choices are divine.

I can do my own makeup like a pro (not to brag, but seriously, I’m obsessed) and I can definitely fix my hair up nice, but I can’t do super special thigns with my hair (it’s curly, takes me 2 hours to straighten it, can’t get the goddess waves without about 3 hrs of work, sometimes frizzes if I don’t fix it right, etc) and while I can wear a dress and hose and heels, I can’t do the super high heels, I don’t really accessorize much, and I don’t have the best fashion ability. So, I would say I’m slightly above average in the girl department, but not quite the master girl. Wish I were though! The truth is, when I was skinnier, I was a lot better at it. Guess I had more confidence that I can pull it off.

Hahaha, I was just looking at some steampunk theamed makeup on ThinkGeek and thinking about how I suck too much to ever make them look good.
I fail at all things girly. I can’t even wear a skirt without feeling like I’m two seconds from putting my underwear on display. The underwear that does not match my bra because I’m too fail to do that too.

Haha, that title cracked me up.
I’m pretty into cute (casual bohemian style) clothes and I wear minimal makeup (mascara, eyeliner) every day and I love decorating our home.
BUT I suck at heels, only air dry and brush my hair, and I don’t think I’ve worn stockings since the 90s.
I give myself a C+ on the girl front.

I’m incredibly girly. The only thing I’m not good at is wearing heels. I’m already tall, so I don’t wear them enough to get good at walking in them. I look like a baby giraffe if the heels are too high.

I can run in 5 inch heels, I can spend an entire night not breathing in 3 pairs of spanx just so a dress looks good, I know how to put on a bra (the bend forward technique), I own a lot of makeup, I own even more lotions&potions, I can coordinate outfits, I definitely can put on sheer stockings with ripping, etc. I struggle with 2 things though – winging my eyeliner and getting the ultimate glossy VS blowout, just because I don’t get a chance to practice enough. I don’t go full-out every day or for work, but if we’re going out, it definitely takes me an hour and a half to get ready.
