People will see them when you lift your dress to walk if you walk outside. Also, they may see them when you sit or when you walk down stairs. I don’t think they’re unimportant, but I also am not buying new ones. I bought shoes for my engagement party that I love so I’m going to wear them for the wedding, too, and probably 10 times between now and then.

Comfort is the most important, though, because nothing is less sexy than bloody feet =)

ETA: Don’t regret it if you love them- I’m sure you spent more on your dress, and you will have those shoes to wear whenever you want once the wedding is done

If you can afford the jimmy choos, i think they’re worth it, but only if you can wear them again. if they’re overly bridal-y, i would return them. you can probably get two pairs of pradas or miu mius!

If you love them and get a little high from wearing them/looking at them, they are worth it!

For ME, they are not that important. Comfort is #1, and I’m the same height as FI, so I want flats. And I have a hard to fit foot, so something that accommodates that is important. I don’t care if we have no photos of our shoes.

But just because they aren’t a big deal to me doesn’t mean they can’t be a big deal to others!

You have a point – It is your wedding and, if you can afford the shoes of your dreams, go for it!  This is a once in a lifetime thing and you want to love everything ๐Ÿ™‚  I would say money should be the only factor here.  If they’re not exactly fitting into your budget, then I might second guess them.  People will see your shoes, but not as much as the dress, obviously, so if you can afford the dress of your dreams and the shoes of your dreams, then more power to ya!  If you can’t afford the dress you really want because you splurged too much on the shoes, I’d return them and go with something more modest – The dress is really the focus, after all.

I love shoes and loved the shoes I wore on my wedding day.  They are sentimental to me (much like the jewelry I wore on my wedding day).  I also wear them often (post-wedding) and they are more special to me now than they were on the actual day.

On the actual day, no one really saw them (unless I showed them off).  I made sure my photog got a shoe pic or two – so, they are documented as well ๐Ÿ™‚

I really wanted a pair of Jimmy’s but my foot ended up being to wide for the ones I wanted.  I really hope yours fit! ๐Ÿ™‚  It’s worth the splurge, IMO!

If you are a shoe person, then you need to have good wedding shoes. I spent hours and hours on mine and got tons of compliments. Go for it! If you’re like me you will wear them again Cool and have a ton of pictures with them:

I wanted a stylish pair for cute photos with my bridal party, but also comfort because I expect to dance all night! These are made out of silicone and are supposed to be extremely comfortable for brides! Vivienne Westwood Melissa….<3

Go for it!  It’s your wedding shoes!  I was more into comfort and making sure I had the right size heel because my husband is only 2 inches taller than me, but it took me forever to find the right shoe.

The shoes aren’t that important, nobody will see them unless you want them too!

The only two times guests would see them is if you’re wearing a short dress, OR doing the garter toss [taking it off].

Otherwise, I think they are just fun for the price, and what girl doesn’t love a new pair of shoes? They also make cute pictures!

@scqt13:  I bought my wedding shoes over the weekend. My wedding is in 17.5 months, I have only booked the hall and the church, so yes the shoes are VERY important.

I bought Kate Spade “Charm” in Navy Blue. I had to get them right away for so many reasons

    1. My middle name is Kate

    2. It’s my “something blue”

    3. It’s navy blue, with is my wedding colour (along with peach)

    4. The name “charm” doubles as a good luck charm and that’s adorable

    5. They have a bow. I LOVE a good bow!!!!!

Enjoy your Jimmy Choo’s!!! Worth every penny and you deserve it!!!

You shoes will show up in pictures, might as well make them awesome! For Jimmy Choos you can either keep them and rewear them or sell them after the wedding (I sold my wedding shoes). I can’t tell you how many awesome photos I have of my amazing shoes that I would have hated to miss out on!
