I’ve been contemplating having my reception space (hotel) uplit for ceremony/reception.
I guess it goes back to seeing a gorgeous wedding held in the same space, and I can’t get the feel of the image out of my head.
I know that lighting is great news for a photographer, and it certainly sets a certain mood and adds dimension to a room, but do you notice lighting when you are in the room? Does it change your impression of the space?
In the scheme of things, the pricing is pretty decent and something I budgeted for, ($900 with labor and setup and travel) but now that I’m thinking about it, will it really be that important to me when I think back on my wedding?
Certainly the wedding held with my dream lighting had a larger budget than mine, but I think the lighting made it look gorgeously romantic, which is what I really like about the photo.
Have any of you second guessed or decided to not go with lighting when you originally planned for it?
