After looking through your pictures, I think this one is a better feel with your venue.
Good lookin out Anchors! I'm just having a hard time seeing past the metal. The campground picnic tables have the seats attached to the table top, so I'll probably have to cover both the top and seats to make them look decent! Thanks!
I like the third photo with the blue tablecloth-but I was wondering what color your BMs are wearing? If you do the blue color, you could either use polyester tablecloths get bedsheets in that color to fit over the tables, then you can dress up the table with moss and peacock accents, if it is not too dark. Otherwise I would use the wisteria type purple, and still dress up the table with the moss and peacock and ivory accents. :)
rlsulli1598- My BM's will be wearing a dark teal. I LOVE the bedsheet idea!!!! How clever and cheap! Thanks!!!
The benches might get kind of hard so colorful pillows for people to sit on would look really cute.
Oh, and I saw that on your inspiration board that you had satiny type fabric swatches, perhaps you could tie a satin ribbon around your napkin or silverware to dress it up a bit. I am glad that you liked the bedsheet idea. If you don't have too many tables you could get some pieces of "foam" (check around for good prices) for the seats and then wrap bedsheets pieces around and fasten under the seats. You could use a staple gun. Do you have any bargain places to find sheets? You could even see if you could find irregular sheets, to cut pieces to fit around the seats. :) Just be careful with the stapler!
To build on the idea of using bedsheets for tablecloths, you could use pillowcases to cover pieces of foam for the benches.
No sewing needed-just fold the open end in on itself.
Here is a really cute idea... so as to make the table's seem more "banquet"-esque this couple pushed them together and it seems to me just bought huge bolts of fabric and ran it down the length of the table. There are always coupons floating around for craft/fabric stores or fabric.com.
(Sorry it won't let me post the photos)

This is just another tablescape that I thought you might like... http://www.stylemepretty.com/2010/04/02/tea-party-bridal-shower-inspiration/it has a lot of those rich and bold blues, turquoises, etc from your inspiration board.
a pillow case over the top would be very cute...you could even wrap ribbon around the metal pole so they cinch in and drape out at the bottom.

Hello bees! In my ever-changing wedding plans I've come accross another issue...How do you make aluminum campground picnic tables look good?!
Our super casual "venue" is actually a private, lakefront campground. We're planning on having a weekend-long wedding bash in the woods of Northern Idaho. To save a few bucks we've decided to NOT rent (and haul around!) banquet tables and chairs for our reception and just use the aluminum picnic tables that come with the camp. They're not the rustic & weathered wooden ones. It's plain flat metal. The seats are attached to the table with large round metal tubes. I'm having a hard time figuring this one out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Below are the links to the pictures of the beach where we will have our ceremony, the bonfire area, and my rough 1st draft inspiration board so you can see where I'm going with all this. Thanks guys!

And yes, I know the beach and camp area doesn't look too good now! I just snuck in to take pics while it was closed for the fall/winter season! It will be prettier come wedding time! =)
