I just wanted to do a quick shout out and check in with my date twins...how is the planning going? We are quickly approaching the 2 month mark...how are you holding up? Getting excited, nervous? For me, all of the above...I'm working like crazy to finish our DIY invitations and cannot WAIT to get them out of the door!

June 26ers, any of you out there? You didn't all call of your weddings, did you? ;-)

Farmersdaughter, I'm working to get our DIY invites out the door too!  My fiance thought they should be mailed three months before the wedding, but there was no way that would happen!  I have everything ready to go except for one key aspect - the envelopes.  My mom insisted on hand addressing all of the envelopes, which added a few days onto our timeline.  I'm hoping to have the envelopes when I get home today!

What else are you working on right now?  Do you have all your vendors locked in?

Sorry just saw this post!  I am FLIPPIN OUT! So many more things to do!!  I've been so busy and I would LOVE to take a few days off work to get some of these DIY's off my to do list!

All my vendors are booked, but I'm trying to tackle about 10 more DIY's.

Invites went to the printers TODAY!  Hoping to get the envelopes addressed by the time they're done & send those puppies out next week.  Can't wait!

Nailed down the bridesmaids' Sunday dresses yesterday & hopefully they will arrive next week...now working on shoes & accessories.

Finished the Friday venue tasting & that's mostly all set...but we've had some issues with the coordinator for our Sunday venue...waiting until the manager comes back from maternity leave before we continue prepping there.

So, going quite productively, but the stress level has definitely risen...hoping the rest of the month is as productive & less stressful.

We're pretty much in a holding pattern right now, stuck between things that are done and things it's too soon to do...invites are all done and just need to get sealed and mailed tomorrow. We have our first cake/cupcake tasting over the weekend, which is fun. Rings and dress are ordered and vendors are all booked. Otherwise most everything else that can be done right now is done, which is nice if a little strange (I keep looking for what to do next!)

I think we're going to grow edible flowers as our centerpieces, though, so I'm probably going to tackle that this month---which is also pretty fun, and we have a backup plan if it's a disaster, so relatively low stress, too!

My invitations came in last week and they have been sitting in a box for a whole week! I've been so busy this past week that I haven't been able to start putting them together! Focus of this weekend? Getting the invitations put together and mailing them out!

Thank God I didn't decide to have do-it-yourself invitations! I don't see where I would've found the time with all of the wedding planning, teaching, tanning, hitting the gym, and studying for the GRE for graduate school! Once I get the invitations put together and mailed out, a BIG weight will be lifted off of my shoulders! :)

Other than that, just finishing details like counseling with our Pastor, dress fittings, paying stuff off, tanning, working out, etc...!

I'm getting married the night before you gals, but I'm almost a June 26 bride! :-)

I'm DIYing the invites and the paper STILL hasn't come in yet, it kept getting back ordered :( But it is on it's way so my plan is to have those done by the end of next week! Ambitious of me...

All that is really left for me to do after that is wait on my head count so we can put the final touches on things. I've been planning this for over a year so I feel pretty much caught up on everything.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed, but excited.  Invites should go out sometime this week if I can get over to my Mom's house to add the direction insert... Other then that I just banged out a few items leftover from my list from last month: buy a cake topper, order wedding bands and brainstorm guest book idea.  I have two big things left that is driving me crazy and I need to take care of which is getting a florist and planning the rehearsal dinner!

We just assembled invites, booked the limo and bought our bands this week. We also had our shower yesterday which was very fun and amazing to see all our families in one place (we had one big shower). But I feel like it all went by so fast and we are just barrelling full speed towards the Big Day!

So, here's my update since Friday.  My envelopes were in the mail when I got home after work Friday, so I grabbed an invitation suite, stuffed it in the envelopes, & we rushed to the Post Office before it closed.  After waiting in a very long line, we were told that our envelopes were too big to use the wedding cake stamps.  And when I say 'too big' I mean by about a centimeter.  We ended up just buying the wedding cake, rings, and king & queen stamps for the invites.  My FI & I stuffed all the envelopes, added an interesting combination of stamps, and dropped them off at the Post Office at 7 am on Saturday.  I am so happy to have those invitations out of here!

@Mojito, I just realized we're date twins in addition to our connection to Moscow, Idaho. Congrats on getting your invites out the door - mine are *almost* done, just need to finish a few more envelopes and get the postage on them. I'm hoping it'll be done by the end of the week!

Other updates - we're getting married 3,000 miles away, and we FINALLY booked our flights yesterday...I'm actually glad I waited on that one because the prices dropped randomly, and we only have 1 layover. We had a shower this past weekend, which was a BLAST (now I have a new to-do...thank you notes!) and our wedding bands arrived yesterday. Next up - finalizing our ceremony and music, and signing the contract with our florist. And 8 gazillion other things...

@farmersdaughter - It's funny how important the stamps seemed once the options didn't fit into my plan!  Good luck with getting your invites sent out!  After spending so much time on my invites, I almost felt at a loss once they were sent out.  Of course, now I'm just dying to receive the RSVPs!  Only 74 days to go...!

I can't believe how soon the BIG DAY is.  I don' know if I am excited, nervous or what.  My head is starting to spin.  The diy invites are in the process of getting done.  Got fi's ring last Saturday (well ordered it from the store.)  Favors came in.  They were supposed to be in a white gift box.  NOT what I expected, so now I have to wrap all of them (over 100.)  Just ordered my garters online last night.  Have bridesmaids gifts, both mother's gifts, etc.  Started to get a bit frazzled!!!  : )

@Mojito - Is your picture the "Chichen Itza Ruins"?  If it is, how cool!!  We are going to Cancun for our Honeymoon and that is one of the places that we want to take a day trip to!!!!  Is it as cool as it seems?

Looks like we're all at about the same place!!

I am sitting in limbo at the moment, between stuff that is done and stuff that needs to get done in a few weeks. I feel like for SURE I have forgotten something though, how can I be sitting twiddling my thumbs with 2 months to go?

The guys all got fitted for their tuxes last week. I am waiting for 2 of my BM dresses to come in as well as mine. Pretty much everything for my venue is done, rings are ordered and came in, invites went out 2 weeks ago and we have about 1/4 of the replies back already, makeup and hair are booked. Vendors are all booked, I just need to call them all and go over stuff.

In the next few weeks I want to: Call my florist and finalize flowers (need to add a few boutonniers), call my music man and finalize ceremony music and first dance songs incase he needs to record anything in his studio, call the cake shop and finalize our cake flavors - design is already done, and call my photographer to see if there's anything I need to do. I also want to get our marriage certificate done so we can send that to our pastor before the middle of May. And I need to start researching where I can find the cheapest gerbera daisies for my centrepieces. And work out and eat better so my dress fits.

    Phhhew ok thats a LOT!
