My first cycle took around 60 days. Then it was 45. Then 60 again. I think finally after 7 months I had a normal cycle - but it was a fluke because the next month would have been 35/40 days. I ovulated at around 21 days and just happen to get lucky :) I'm crossing my fingers this pregnancy has straightened out my hormones and when my cycle comes back it'll be somewhat normal :)
Everyone is different. They do say it can take up to 6 months for your body to get back to normal though :) Good luck! Charting will help you guys TTC even if your cycle isn't regular.
How regular were you before you were on the pill?
I went off the pill last month, and had my first normal period 30 days after my withdraw bleed from stopping the pill. That being said though, I was always very regular pre-the pill too.
Pre-pill, I was all over the place. The reason I went on the pill was to regulate my cycle and to alleviate the pain I was having w/ cramps and such. But I would be anywhere between 30 and 50 days pre-pill. That was also when I was 18 though. I'm now 29, so I guess for the last 10 years, I've been used to the 28 day cycle.

I think it was about 45 days for me the first cycle off - then 33, then 35. It definitely takes your body a while to get back to normal. Also, if you weren't on a regular cycle before the pill, it's likely your cycle won't be regular now that you are off the pill.

...did it take those of you who went off the pill to get your first period? I'm on day 48 (I've been charting) and I'm starting to get a tad worried. I'd love it if I were pregnant, but we weren't officially going to start trying until after this period. We've taken precautions up until this point, so I'm just worried that it's going to take me a while to get back to "normal." On the pill, I was a regular 28 day cycle on the dot.
