Less than a month…that’s how long it took for the ring to be made.

He proposed 36 hours after had had the ring in his posession. This was probably a month after it was ordered/I decided it was “the one.”

He proposed the day he picked up the (first) ring. We went together to buy the permanent one, so he didn’t wait to give that one to me, either. I walked out of the store wearing it.

Well, we went ring shopping and I picked out the design when we were dating for only 6 months.  He proposed right before our 3 year anniversary, but it took him that long to save up for the ring.  He actually had it in his possession for less than 2 weeks.

We picked it out in October and he proposed in December. That felt long enough!

@MsW-to-MrsM:  He got it in May and proposed in December (we were in college, so that equates to at the end of spring semester and then at the end of fall semester).

@MsW-to-MrsM:  Well, we were only dating for 3 years total.  I knew he was committed to me and planned to propose and marry me.  So, I didn’t really care about when it happened per se.  We discussed a timeline before and how he was going to do it before the end of 2012.  I trusted him and he proposed in Nov 2012.  The timing was just right for us.  It was sort of a decision we made together about when was a good time for us and a decision he made himself about how much money he wanted to spend and when he had enough money.  Actually, he was going to propose in October 2011 while we were on vacation and he had a ring then, but the time didn’t feel right so he returned the ring and kept saving more money to upgrade it until he found the “perfect” time to do it.  I’m glad he did that, because October 2011 probably wasn’t a good time for us!

I know SO hasn’t picked up a ring yet, but he says he’ll be proposing in the next couple months, so I still voted

DH knew he wanted to propose on V-Day, (my parents were engaged that day 27 years before) and he had my mom’s ring to make my ring with. So he went to our Jeweler about a month before V-Day, and had the ring a few days before…..I only know because I “accidentally” found it in his gun drawer. LOL

I voted N/A- We picked out the ring after he proposed- he said he positively couldn’t wait any longer to tell me that he wanted me to be his wife but he wanted me to have a say in picking my ring. I refused to tell anyone we were engaged until we’d gone and bought the ring though!
