How long does it take to get wedding bands? We are less than two months out and havne’t even thought about it yet!
My only fear is that I might want somthing custom made, b/c the setting on my engagement rings sticks out so that nothing would sit flush (haven’t decided if I’d rather have something custom to sit flush or a normal band that I would also be able to wear alone).

@NavyBride2013: I would order ASAP. There may not be enough time, depending what you want. You can alwyas use your engagement ring as your wedding band for the ceremony and get a band later. You can have your priesr/rabbi/whatever bless it later if that matters to you.

We won’t see each other for another month however — so I am hoping to wait until then! There is a small chance we won’t be able to even get to a jewelery store then either (he is coming in for the weekend for my sister’s wedding)….so then we are looking at two to three weeks before the wedding. Is that even possible? We may just have to each pick our our rings on our own (or me pick both out), which is kind of a bummer, but it is what it is!

@NavyBride2013: Yikes. I’d visit jewelry stores now to see what they suggest and to get an idea of timelines. Maybe they can rush something for you?

@NavyBride2013: get on it! I tried to order my guy’s 6 weeks out and the one he wanted (custom-made in eastern Europe, on Etsy) wouldn’t be ready until a month after our wedding 🙁 We found another similar one that was shipped a week later, though. So obviously it varies, but better safe than sorry.

@NavyBride2013: we ordered ours a year out and they took 6 and 8 weeks to come in. mine was tacori so it took a bit longer, his a simple tungsten band.

AHH!! PANIC MODE!!
I tried to get him to go look at rings a month or two ago when I was visiting him…but he wasn’t in the mood, so we put it off.

I went to the store on Monday and picked them up Saturday of the same week. I would give it a couple weeks tho incase something goes wrong

I would get on it.
We’re marrying in December and just ordered my ring yesterday. I tried on a bunch of bands, and the one that worked best was in 18k gold only, so we had to special order platinum to match my engagement ring. They said it would take about 4 weeks.

We already have ours a year ahead O.o

@NavyBride2013: You’re definitely cutting it close!! Ours took 6 weeks(mine was only custom due to my ring size, 3.75)
Though if you find something in-store they may only take a few hours to a day to size it, so you may get lucky. Good luck :o)

I would do it now, just incase there is manufacturing time and/or you need to return/exchange the rings.

@NavyBride2013: Definitely get it ordered ASAP. You may have trouble finding something and if you’re going custom it may take 1-2 months to complete it and for you to be happy with it.

STAT! DH’s only took 4 weeks to come in but mine took almost 8 weeks (it was custom so I’m sure that didn’t help). I think DH’s would’ve come in sooner but he has giant fingers so the jeweler had to special order it. Seriously though, you and your Fiance should order them pretty soon otherwise you’re gonna be stressing over it and it’s gonna come down to the wire. Save yourself the aggrivation!
