I"ve been married over 13 months and I still have a wedding pic as my profile pic, lol. I just really love the photo :) And I haven't taken once since that I love as much.
Mines still up almost 6 months later. I was never one to change my picture often anyway, it'll prob be up until our 1 yr
I still do. But currently it's actually one of me and my BIL who passed away. It'll like stay up till after his anniversary and my baby shower. At which point I will probably replace with one of me and baby bump!
I think what hilsy said is the key, how often do you get professional pictures taken of yourself with professional hair and makeup while you're extremely happy? Chances are your wedding pictures are pictures where you look awesome. Add to that a great memory and I can see why people keep theirs up for a long time. It's been over 5 months and I just took mine off a few days ago--replaced with a honeymoon picture!
i had mine up for a few months and like you i changed it when i had something else i wanted to post, then changed it back. though i dont think its because i want to be perceived as a bride, but they are really nice pro pics that i have and want to use them! i dont have it up anymore and i doubt i will put it back until an anniversary or something.
I plan to have wedding photos as my profile photos for a while. I looked amazing and I have so many incredible ones to choose from!
I think for the first few months I switched from honeymoon pics to wedding pics and visa versa.
It's been a month exactly and I changed it the other day to something non-wedding.
Although, I might change it back to something wedding related once i get our pro pics back.
Umm I still do 2 1/2 years later...
We don't take pictures together very much.
About six months. It just felt wierd to still be all "I'M MARRIED!"
I changed to a regular picture right around 6 months. But then I would change it back to a wedding pic and then back to a normal one. For our 1 yr I had a wedding pic but now it's back to normal! I'll probably continue to do that for a while!
I've had mine up for 3 months since I got married. I only recently got my professional pictures back.
Just this week, I changed my picture from a "couple" picture to a picture of my bridesmaid and myself. I'm torn between wanting to show off good professional pictures and not wanting to come across as too wedding obsessed to my facebook friends, especially the single ones.
I'll probably put as my profile off and on. Its hard to have a good replacement photos. Most likely switch it at Chrrismtmas, when I can get a picture with my new baby neice.
I had only a wedding pic for a solid 6 months and now I go back and forth still.
I've had the same facebook pic since college! Remember when facebook was just for college students? I'm old.
@Beluga: i'm old too because i remember - you could only join if you had a university based email address.
"Never". The closest I ever got was positing a picture of my bouquet on our 1-year anniversary. I kept that up for a week or so and then reverted back to my regular picture. I rarely post a picture of the two of us as a profile picture.
I have only been married a little under 1 month and I still have a wedding pic as my profile pic of course. I most likely will for a long time cuz I love how our wedding pics turned out sooo very much and there's so many fantastic ones to choose from. I think they are the best pics we have so naturally I want to showcase them to everyone.

I noticed something this morning.... pretty much every girl I know (including me) who got married this year has a wedding photo as their profile picture.
For a while I also had a photo of me holding my new baby nephew as my profile photo, but then I changed it back to a wedding picture eventually.
I just find it interesting that, even after the wedding, so many of us prefer to stay the "bride" in the public realm... even though we've been married for months.
So, how long did you leave a wedding photo as your profile picture, and why did you choose to leave it that long?
