I’m getting really worried since I got married end of September 2012, and haven’t seen anything but the previews and thank you cards. How long does it usually take for photographers to send the photo selections and final proofs?

About 1 month after I got about 150 retouched edited photos. I got the dvd with all the images on there after 3 months.

I got my professionally retouched photos almost a month after the wedding same as
@missporkchops: and I got the rest of my photos on a DVD at the same time as her as well. I would be worried also, if I were you! contact your photographer!

My wedding was the end of september, also and I *just* got mine this week, and they weren’t complete. Meaning…..he sent our “finished DVD” with all the photos, but “forgot” ALL the pictures from the reception the first night and ALL the pictures of the processional (the parents, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls and ring bearers and me, the bride, walking down the aisle) the second night during our American ceremony. Those are some of the most important pictures!!
So now he’s making a second DVD and sending it. He said he just got mixed up and saved all those photos in a different folder by mistake. GRRRRR…. (not sure what kind of photographer doesn’t check the DVD they make to see if the whole wedding is there, but whatever).
So. Good luck! I hope you have better luck than me. Our photographer/videographer has turned out to be our worst vendor by far, and we paid him close to $10,000 for two days of coverage. It just makes me sick to think about it.

@missporkchops: Thanks missporkchops! I’m starting to get a little worried
@SweetartMD: Thanks SweetartMD! I wish I had the same experience since I’m getting restless now
@BookGirrl: BookGirrl, I’m so sorry to hear about your experience and hope things work out soon! Our videographer was great and gave us all the DVDs etc within a month of the wedding.

12 weeks. One a sneak of two photos before that… I was bummed!

After 5.5 weeks 504 edited proofs were available online

What does your contract say?
@RoyalLime: Sort of similar to my case!
@danicimp: That’s great. It’s surprising my photographers reviews online are so good and nobody’s complaining about the timeline.
@atomic: Contract doesn’t unfortunately say anything but there’s a handwritten note on it which says 4-6 weeks (which are long past)
With none of her other reviews complaining, I was wondering if it’s just me being restless. I guess I do have a reason to complain

An online album was available after a month. As for the photos I’ve ordered and my wedding album, it’s now been 5 months and no show.

We got ours 3 weeks after the date – it was specified in our contract.

We got our CD in about a month.

Average for most is 6-8 weeks. I have up to 90 days in my contract.

I got everything about a month after the wedding but I think the photographer may have worked quicker because he knew we were moving soon.
